My contact at PW has just returned from vacation and has updated me on the course.
Seeding and tree planting will continue throughout the rest of this year and the first half of 2009. Then the grass needs to be 'rested' for 6 months. Looks like we have a bit of a wait for our first game!
Barry
Might have got a few shots back by then!

Last week 'TedH' went for a wander (albeit - an unscheduled wander - cos his bike broke!) over the main course. Much to his surprise, in the middle where it is not visible from the outer road, was lovely green grass and a filled lake!!! If he reads this then I am sure he will correct any ommissions or errors I have made in repeating this story but I think that's pretty much what he told me.

I did - then went for a second - scheduled wander -with camera in hand!! I posted a couple of pics dated 22/7 - no 68510 in the Condado section. Photo 5 shows the area of the 10th and 11th greens (assuming they haven't decided to renumber them!!!), with the lake already in place (the greens are both covered by black sheeting). It is not easy to tell, but if you zoom in to the back of the picture you can see the grass on the first and ninth fairways - this is clearer on photo 6.
I hope that helps, but think Barry is right, can't see it being ready for golf until middle of 09 at the earliest - roll on the opening tourny!!

Hello Ted
Have posted a couple of photos of posts on course - one was yours - think they are sprinklers rather than green markings or sites for trees - what do you think?

Barry,
Just loaded up a zoomed in image - sorry, but under Jan 1, as forgot to change date!!
The black around the edge is a perimeter - I assume a guide for building the greens. There are various black bits around, which I think are probably points where the water pipes are coming up for sprinklers - but can't be sure.
