Your valuable advice please

Does anyone who's using the services of David & Jenny from Abel 2 know what's happened to them?  They've not been contactable for over a week now - not answering e-mails or returning 'phone calls . . .

strange..they have been very prompt before..maybe vacation i am thinking?!

Hi, yes Jenny lost her mobile phone, you have the new number? 0034 687045947 I had a client there last week who struggled to contact Jenny to get a set of keys, they are v busy at the moment which is a good sign for the development.

Yes, thanks.  I'm aware of the new numbers, and they're not returning my calls on these.  I'm not the only one either.  They seem to be having trouble coping with the workload which is not a good sign for their clients.

we had problems with phones and struggled with calls, but we chose to put clients first and catch up with owners once the clients had been sorted.
was a hectic summer and yes the resort was brilliant, lively and  was promising for the complex, it was nice to see so many people enjoying the resort, although we did have the usual few clients who took huge advantages, as the norm and asking for deductions, but all told was great.
As for the new numbers, by all means call, but while Im on a call the answerphone will get you, then you can leave a message, which is no advantage because while  im listening to messages, I have others calling and leaving messages.
Never ending circle,  but hey all par for the course. Marina d'Or  was hectic in the summer and was great to see, all those who came loved it, and hopefully will generate in referals, because all Marina d'Or is lacking is acknowledgement that its there.

We love the resort, we love the plans for the resort and well be here for a long time,  

onwards and upwards to all owners :)

Does anyone know what has happened to Jenny and David Abel who run the Marina D'Or Forum as their Forum website does not appear to be available as of today? Has the site been pulled?

It is now Christmas and still no sign of the website concerned re-appearing. How come no-one else who contributed to that Forum is sufficiently interested to come on here and give their views, good, bad or indifferent.  Looks as though they have all been let down, in which case you would expect plenty of comments and opinions.

I cannot access Marinador forum and have had trouble contacting Jenny or David  for other issues - perhaps someone can offer an explanation.

I too have been unable to contact jenny and david. They let my apartment for the festival week and I havent received any money. I have tried on several occasions to contact them.

We are continually trying to contact Jenny & David but without success - anybody got any suggestions - I am in the same situation as Burgatia

We still have not heard from J&D !!

 

Likewise, was in touch with them but now nothing. 

Does anyone on this forum know what the current status is at Marina D'Or - assume they are still "open for business" but given all the negative press about the owoners / developers at one point, one wonders whether the whole development would be in adminstration by now?  Does it still get busy in summer?

Has anyone have any luck whatsoever in renting their apartment out?  Thier must be hundereds of people out there having to make mortgage payments with no rental income whatsoever?  Or am I just missing out on something?

We are the same - were in contact with J & D last autumn now cannot get reply. Does anyone have a good suggestion for management? If all else fails will have to go back to Servihogar and struggle with Spanish.

Marina d'Or emailed me a notice about new apartments for sale a couple of months ago (the first email I remember from them). At least they must still be in business.

We're going out in April so will see what its like out there then. There must be a few of us left so will have to stick together since we're now in it for the long term.

Helen has been involved out at MD for quite a while now, and certainly runs a professional operation. She is very helpful and wil do her best to help. Good luck.

 

 

Thank you Ric 25 for recommendation. We have signed up with Helen Wright who has been brilliant. We went to our apartment in April and found it in a terrible state - so bad we had to check into a hotel (Gran Duque which was good and softened the blow).

Helen and her Spanish representative Carmen, have been excellent in sorting out all the problems - we couldn't have managed without them. Carmen changed the locks the first morning and has all the other problems (about a dozen!) under control, the only delay being with insurance-related damage. Hope not too many other people have suffered in a similar way.

My wife and I have owned an apartment in Marina d'Or (Edificio Neptuno) for just over two years. We have 14 weeks rental so far this year and hope to get another 3 or 4 weeks before the end of the year. We get a lot of enquiries for weeks when we are booked and often pass these on to other owners. As a result we are setting up a web site dedicated to apartment owners and in future we will refer enquiries direct to this site.

Although the web site is not quite finished you can view it at w ww.marinador-apartments. com. The site will also be published in French and Spanish.

Only apartment owners will be able to advertise on the site and if you would like to do so please let us know.

Olivia and I are always keen to meet other owners and we will be in Marina d'Or from 26 June to the 9 July. If you are there at the same time please contact us via this forum and we can arrange to meet up.
