Hi

I have just uploaded a few photos of our apartment to date - look under Condado De Alhama dated 5th August - We have still to add blinds and bedside tables.  but is  ready to use, and very close to Carols - Right above to be exact.  Very close to all.

Furnishings all Ikea and white goods Carrefour very please with results, lots of hard work to put all together but very rewarding looking at results.

Enjoy

And we await any comments on the photo (the sun terrace one was taken when we had all packed up, so shows loungers under the table).

Back in October to finish off,  cannot wait..........

Chris & Ja

Chris & Ja,

Looking Good. Are those wheels on your sunbeds? Is that so you can wheel them to the pool? What were Ikea prices like because i've been told much more expensive than uk.

Very nice photo's! It is suprising how much room there is in the living area of a 2 bed.

Thanks Jackie

We found that measuring and designing ourselves, meant plenty of space if all positioned correctly. And although we were concerned about the light colours, we were able to purchase extra covers for 10 euros per set from  Ikea so not worried about red wine spillages really,  It will probably be me spilling it anyway, so I will be giving myself a telling off.............

Good luck with yours......

Chris

hi Lisa

Yes the loungers have wheels, never thought we can drag them to the pool, but will probably do ourselves an injury down the stairs, better off up there, but out in the sunshire.  We bought lounger cushions but put them under the beds in the apartment (just incase it rains......)

We need 5 chairs for arrange the terrace table, but will get them when we are out next.

Ikea was just the same a UK, actually some items were slightly cheaper, you can go online to Ikea Murcia and check out the prices.  We were able to use our family card also which meant we got discounts.  Their meals weren extremely cheap too 1 euro for main main, 1 euro for beer or wine and 1 euro for puds.  We spend from 9am to 6pm  there so needed 2 meals, but enjoyed the day chosing colours styles etc.,,,,

Regards

Chris

The photos look really good and the furniture definately suits the apartment and fits in well.

Were the sunloungers on wheels from Ikea as well?  They are high up on our priority list!!!!!!!!!

When I was out I got most of my furnishings from IKEA.  I hired a Ford Connect van for the 4 days instead of a car. Only squeeze was the double matress, but got it in. Van was a 2 seater and fine to drive (with aircon).  IKEA charge for delivery, and 4 days hire of the van wasn't a lot different to the price of a car.

hi Chris & Ja

The photos look great,

talk about shop till you drop!!  Don't know if even I could manage that long in Ikea...
I've got sofa and beds being delivered but it's straight to Ikea in Sept for all the extras.

Hi Chris and Ja,
The Appartment looks great. Danseex has already asked this but did you hire a van ? and if so where from and what size. Was the hire company next door to Ikea ?  one more thing is Carrefour next to Ikea and can you take the white goods away with you or do you have to have them delivered?. Good luck with rentals and thanks for the help and information.

Pad,

Not meaning to speak for Chris and Ja, but I hired a van - picked it up from centauro at Murcia Airport  (link below) for the 4 days I was over (about €150).  It was a "Ford Connect" - a mini transit, 2 seats - pretty spacious, for longer items (over 2m) need to dump the passenger, and put passenger seat down, and double matress had to be bent over.  They do bigger vans if required.

I tried to collect white goods, but ones I wanted weren't in stock, if they have them think you can take them.

I don't recall a Carreforre next to IKEA, but there is Saturn (a large electrical/white goods store) and 2 other large supermarkets
