Hi all,

We're just back from a whirlwind few days in Spain to complete on our garden 5 apartment. Thankfully all went to plan and we now have the keys.

As our apartment backs onto the sports facilities - we thought we'd take some photos for those who've not seen it up close yet - plus the supermarket is now open so there's some of that as well. As you can see the sports pitches have been finished off to a good standard. There is 2 x tennis, 4 x paddle tennis and a large astro with 5-a-side goals and 2 basketball nets. In the back of the sports building it looks to me like they are building 4 glass back squash courts. The polaris person said half the building is still empty so hopefully a gym of sorts will materialise also.

As far as the supermarket goes - it's a decent size (similar to the one on mar menor if anyone stayed there on a viewing trip). The photo's show the 2 main aisles - but there are a few little aisles off at the back of the shop. They certainly sold enough to get you by in between visits to the bigger supermarket down the motorway. The opening hours are 09.00 - 21.00 Mon to Saturday and 10.00 - 15.00 on sundays and BH.  IN winter it shuts at 20.30 in the week . Hopefully it'll be well used and remain where it is.

In the front of the 'sports' building on the right of the entrance we peered in and guessed they might be building a cafe. Theres a large horseshoe like counter being built which looks like the kind of bar you sit around in a cafe. There's definitely room around it for tables and chairs and a nice patio area outside the glass doors that would be ideal for tables. We may be entirely wrong but here's hoping!

Hope everyone else's completions go to plan.

Caroline

Hi

Thank you for putting on the photos of Jardine 5. We also completed last week by POA on 5 and have not seen it since March.
It looks really good, cant wait to get out there in October to start furnishing it. We are in 525 and come from  Kent where are you on the park?

Hi Caroline,

Congrats on your completion it does feel good to get you keys doesn't it?  I got my keys through the post and at the moment it is very frustrating not to see my apartment as we are not going out again until next month - can't wait....  Thanks for the photo's and the info about the shop it looks very well stocked and will be very handy when we arrive next month.  I am in Jardin 2 so not too far from you hopefully will bump into each other at some point.

Hi Caroline and Sue and Dave,

Pleased to hear that we have more neighbours in Jardin 5 on the forum.

We visited the supermarket when we were out in August and were happy with what we saw.

Think we need something a little larger in time.  We spent a couple of weeks in La Torre in July and August and the supermarket was extremely busy.  The La Torre supermarket is about 3 times the size of ours.
Wouldn't mind if they kept the one in the sports area open as well though.

We found the supermarket in Camposol was very good.
