Can anyone recommend a letting company for Manilva, I have a first floor 2 bed apartment. Has anyone used pogo-direct for rentals.
Any information would be appreciated.

Just one word of warning... manilva leisure was founded and is being run by an ex OVP sales person from a franchise in the South West. He took the commissions from the sales and then just buggered off !

Not quite right and can assure you that he was not an actual sales person and was screwed the same as the rest.

Gonna have to agree to disagree with you on this one as the person I am talking about was actually one of the franchisees and therefore was selling these properties and promoting OVP

To put the record straight here - the guy you are referring to (Torquay office or thereabouts) is NO LONGER part of www.manilva-leisurerentals.com/
Manilva Leisure and Manilva Leisure Rentals are not the same company.
As i understand it he was also done over by O*P.

Hi Dan,
The guy who runs manilva leisure was the franchisee from torquay - he sold to a friend of mine who is now up to her neck in debt. She cannot even bear to come onto this forum as she is beside herself with worry. Multi selling was fantastic commission for him and he was very persausive in the way that he sold the properties to her. He is now in Spain living the life that she dreamed of. !!

Would just like to add that although he was a franchisee, he also got well and truly shafted as we all have been. After a very stressful visit to Manilva Beach in April, SP was a lifesaver and did all he could to help out.
If he was intentionally ripping people off as has been suggested here, I don't think he would have sold to his own parents!!

He just got caught up in it like the rest of us. I was partner in a letting business at the time, and they were offering fantastic incentives to franchisees and introducers. But from what I hear talking to most people on phase 1, their introducers also got their fingers burnt badly and were owed considerable sums of money. This guy being one of them. They were suckered in the same and left high and dry like we did.
On the other hand there were franchisees more bent than your proverbial 9bob note, and we all know who they are!

Well when you said S.P it is the same guy that I know very well and yep he even bought at least 2 properties himself from O.V.P in fact one next door to me.
Now this guy was well a truly convinced that everything he was doing regarding O.V.P was honest and thats why he would be so convincing.
The money he spent on the franchise only for him having to close it down alongside everything else meant he was well and truly screwed
Now fact is that he will feel as guilty as you possibly can be and that fact is that many were so convinced that this was the real deal and by the time it all came to light the damage.was done.
THIS IS NOT THE GUY YOU WANT AND HE IS 100% O>K

Although we have not bought on this development, we did completed on another complex a few months ago.
We also went out to Spain in the latter end of last year as we did not know what was going on with the complex.
We met up with SP and his team of people, if it had not been for their support and advise since then, we probably would not have completed and would now be fighting to try to get our deposit back, which was our pension money which we could not have replaced.
It has not been plain sailing with the property since completion but they continue to offer support and help when we need it.

Dear All,
It seems that the unnamed and his team have advised and persuaded completion on a contract for purchase, but not on this development.
One wonders in what capacity he and the team were acting in?
Are they doing this for payment and if so who is paying them?
Also why would anyone need persuading to fulfill a legal contract if that contract is sound and all that was promised has been provided?
There seems to be an abundance of shadowy figures involved in property dealings on the Costa Del Sol, in addition to the those that did not truly intend to become property owners, just contract investors and are now keen to off-load their "investments".
It is good to hear that this development is all that was promised except perhaps for some furniture/ac issues.

Like your development all that was promised has not been delivered.
indeed compared to your development this is one that has had far more problems but thankfully commitees are being formed and they are moving forward albiet slowly.
Again trust me that these are the lucky ones in comparision to other developments through this company where hundreds have put down deposits and their apartments will NEVER be built and money never will be returned.
Now you have no idea who this person is and what part he played in this but as is confirmed he is not one of the shadowy figures you seek.

If you were commenting on my posting about the support and advice that we were given on a different complex, let me make it clear that in no way were we 'persuaded' to complete and there was no financial gain on the part of the other person who was really helpful at a very difficult time.
