Things to Know Before You Shop for Wood Furniture

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd start a thread for anyone in Los Naranjos Block 11. We are purchasing apartment P1115 and hoping to complete week commencing 20th October. Will be using the apartment as a holiday home, not renting out but friends and family will be using it as well. We have two children - a son16 and daughter 12. Let us know who our new neighbours will be and when you are completing. Look forward to hearing from you !

 We are in apartment 1136, and will be using the apartment similar to you. We have booked to come across for a week on the 18th October, haven’t had a completion date from Polaris yet hoping it will be that week.

We are in the next block to you (1022) but as yet noboby seems to want to own up to living in block 10 with us  ,even though we've asked who our neighbours are (must be something we said) .  Good to hear we have got some people living near us.  We also have two children Robyn aged 14 and Lucy aged 6

Our names are Tony, Liz and our daughter Darcey Mae who is 2 years old.  We are in block 11 and have spoken to Kevin before but it is nice to know that we have neighbours.  We are completing on 8th October although somehow I doubt this very much as we haven't had our mortgage agreed yet but positive thinking and it will be okay.  On a less positive note we looked at the pictures of the penthouses and Tony was really disappointed that they look really small and we have paid extra for the garden but this looks to be no bigger than a pathway but I am sure when we get out there with the sun shining it will all be okay (too late now anyway).  Looking forward to meeting our new neighbours.

I thought the same about the gardens but there are photos somewhere that show them from a different angle and they are bigger than they look, apparently so are the apartments.  We are going out in October as well maybe catch up with you then.

Hi Tony & Liz,

Found the photos that give a better idea of how big your gaden will be.  Go onto Polarisworldart.com,  click on construction progress and in the sub menu click Condado and then scroll down to Gallery 12 thanks to Magdelena.  Forth row down first picture shows your garden.

Hello one and all. We are also in Block 11 - 1102. Finally had the call from Polaris today that I had been expecting - completion on 31 October. So now mad panic sets in. So much to do and as we are away during part of September it will be quite a rush. No doubt we will get there in the end. Look forward to saying a proper hello in due course.

Thank you so much for your help, I am going to look at the photos straight away,  I don't think we will have anything to worry about as all our neighbours seem really nice.  We don't know if we are going to be in Spain for completion as we may get the snagging company to do the necessary.  We are hopefully going to Spain in January to furnish, well that is the plan but you know what it is like.  It is all very exciting at the moment (apart from the doom and gloom about the housing market in England and Spain) and we will all manage to complete and furnish and enjoy our homes very soon.

My wife Clare and I are in Block 16 on the 1st floor, we both work in central London,  have no kids and want Condado as an occasional escape from the madness of London.

We are off out to Spain week of the 22nd September for some R+R down at Mar Menor and will be venturing up to Condado to see what's going on. We were last out in May but couldnt get to the penthouses due to construction, so I cant wait to have a good nose around and a drink in the new bar !!
 
PW have given us a completion window from 20/10 to 20/11, we have the mortgage approved with Barclays and the POA and NIE are all done,  so hopefully wont be to painful if the habitation cert is forthcoming - my main concern is the plummeting Euro rate, this place in the sun is getting more expensive every day !!!

We now need to now source furniture, lighting and white goods (how do you white goods from PW directly?? - are they sold at the PW furniture showroom + any other furniture reccomendations gratefully accepted) , as others have said, its hard to work out what you want  - untill you see the space you have to work with !!
