As it looks like PW cable TV won't be available for some time we're thinking about getting Spanish digital TV in the meantime.
I remember reading in another thread that you can buy a set top box to covert the analog signal or buy a TV with the analog to digital signal converter already installed.
I was wondering however how to pick up the analog signal, so if anyone has already got experience of this I'd appreciate your advice. Is the local analog signal strong enough for an indoor arial or would an outdoor one be required?

The apartments have arial sockets installed which you can plug into to get spanish digital/analogue TV.
Most new TV sets are digital these days, assuning your buying a new one out there, so you shouldn't need a STB.

Spoke to customer services today to ask about when the telecom/tv packages would be available and she said that they weren't sure at the moment but as they have been lots of people asking about them she has sent an email to one of the site directors to find out, I'll keep you posted if I here anything.
Does anyone know if the apartments are geared up for internet access? I know when we have stayed on La Torre that the apartments have a networking socket on the wall for you to plug an ethernet cable into, you can then access the net once you buy an areanet card.
I remember seeing the telephone socket on our aopartment but nothing else.

Hi Mike and Dawn,
I think this may sound a bit cheeky but if there was internet access in the apartments would Carol not now be using her computer to contact all of us.
Sorry for stating the obvious

Alison,
I realise that there isn't access at the moment as Polaris haven't built there communications depot on site. Until then there will be no TV, telephone or internet. I assume that there must be some sort of aerial on site as people are picking up spanish stations on their TV's.
I was mainly asking as to whether or not that the apartments were capable of receiving internet access or whether that there would be an additional charge for getting a socket put in. There is a telecommunications box in the hallway if I remember. Is there a cables in there which can provide a connection?

Hi Mike and Dawn,
I owe you both an apology, as I misread your first posting on this subject, you see while i was reading your post i was also on the phone to my sister and I was also watching channel 4's Sex education programme, which made my eyes pop out of my head and my brain go all fuzzy, so once again if you felt i was being cheeky please accept my apology.
Regards
Alison
