What other Golf Courses locally to Roda can anybody recommend?
Prices&Locality advice would be great

I played golf with three guys from Newcastle last week who have been golfing in Murcia for seven years and I asked them the same question. They recommended two - La Finca in Alicante and Hacienda de Alamo.

It was their first visit to Roda and they said it is the best they have played so far.

I have played a few courses near Roda, none are bad (so far). La Finca is a nice course, but last week they had winter greens in operation!!

I can certainly recommend:

La Torre, Lo Romero, Mar Menor resort (9 holes only)
Hacienda de Requelme, Campoamor, La Manga and of course RODA

Prices vary, most had offers on over the summer & were very reasonable.

We came on a golf trip in May Hacienda de Alamo is very good if you want something more local serena golf was fine and is a different sort of test requiring accuracy rather than just being able to drive the ball a long way. I have also heard from a few people that El Valle is the pick of the polaris resorts. The good news is from Roda there are loads of courses close buy.  Roda is also getting a very good reputation with most people saying the greens are the best in the area. We also play it off the different tees for a change. I did alot of research before we came out and found using Club murcia to book the tee times gave the best discounts we got  Hacienda de Alamo for 50 euros plus a small booking fee they charge 80 euros if you book directly with the course.

I have payed El Valle which I certainly would recommend as best of Polaris courses though have not seen Hacienda Riquelme yet. Hacienda del Alamo continues to get good reviews as does Roda of course. La Torre is typical Nicklaus with lots of sand, personally not my favourite and Lo Romero continues to offer best rates.

If you are booking courses look at www.clubmurcia.com who can offer better deals than the clubs themselves and have very good info on all courses including prices, maps and directions etc.
