THERE IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT ISSUE THAT SEEMS TO BE SLIPPING BY... IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT OUR HOUSES ARE FINISHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE THERE REMAINS THE SWIMMING POOL.. THOSE OF YOU WITH LAYWERS SHOULD GET THEM TO INVESTIGATE..

IT IS A FACT THAT THIS PROMOTION NEVER HAD PLANS AGREED FOR A POOL !!!

IT IS ALSO A FACT IT STILL DOESNT !!!

IT IS A FACT THERE COULD BE ONE ALLOWED BUT ONLY IF ALL LOCAL VILLAGE RESIDENTS CAN USE IT !!!

I TOO WAS SOLD THE SPANISH DREAM .YOUR OWN VILLA THAT INCLUDED A COMMUNAL POOL.. WITHOUT THE POOL THAT WE WERE ALL EXPECTING ..BUT TO DATE .HAS NOT YET BEEN STARTED THE RESALE VALUES + ANY POSSIBLE RENTALS WILL BE CONSIDERABLY LOWER

FORGETTING THE ONGOING COMPLETION SCENARIO HOW MANY OF US WOULD HAVE PURCHASED IN THIS SITUATION...IE   POSSIBLY NO POOL OR SHARE WITH ANY ONE ON THE COSTA DEL SOL THAT FANCIES USING IT..IMAGINE THE POOL PARTIES BY LOCALS THAT YOU PROBABLY  WONT EVEN GET AN INVITE TO...AND NOISE LATE AT NIGHT WITH NO ONE TO POLICE IT ????

I think the question you should really be asking is whose responsibility it would be to provide life guards and clean/maintain the pool - should it ever materialise. Cleaning and maintenance will be a major undertaking just from the number of houses on the development without taking into account anyone else who might use it.  Also I´m sure I saw some initial plans early on for the whole three phase development showing FIVE pools in total.  These were lodged with the Town Hall.  There were also park areas, etc, etc.

Also, I don't think your problems will be with "locals" (as in Spanish) using any pool you might eventually have for their own parties etc at all hours.  Spanish generally just don´t do the "pool thing" in the same way as Brits and they have a perfectly adequate one at the campsite anyway which is used mainly  by local children.  Judging by comments from Brits living on other urbanisations in the village who also have communal pools the problems arise from the family visitors of residents already there or people renting. Generally it seems the residents can´t wait for the holiday season to be over so they can use the pool themselves again. People who are renting or visiting appear to very rarely consider other people - they are on holiday, want to PARTY and seem oblivious to the fact that some people would like to live reasonably quietly and be in bed before 4am and would also like to find the pool usable in the morning rather than full of unspeakable rubbish.

If you find this hard to believe perhaps you could speak to someone actually living permanently on the development by the Health Centre!
