All,
Sorry ladies for asking this............but does anyone know if there are any pubs in the Mazarron / Alhama that might possibly show sky football in the winter months? Made a bit of cock-up when organising my completion visit & now find I miss a couple of big games (Celtic v United - Wed 5th & Arsenal v United Sat 8th) whilst in Spain.
As we fly home on the Sat night (from San Javier), I am sure I will find somewhere in the San Javier / Los Alcazares area for the Arsenal game.......but just wondered about potential closer to home (Condado).
Any info gratefully received.....
Regards
Nick

Skell,
There is a pub in Mazarron that has most games on. It is Run by Paul - [Warning he is a City fan - but OK despite!! - and that is coming from a fellow Red!] - The bar is on the edge of town, if you head into the Puerto going on the N332 as though you were going through the town to Categena, then turn back into town, there is a row of apartments on the right, and a car park, plus beach on left. The bar is right at the start of the apartments, Blue awning.
Below is the reference from Multimap - Paseo del Rihuete - about 50yds towards Mazarron where the Avenida De DonNarciso Yepes meets. Zoom out to get your barings.
Enjoy, hope the result goes the right way too!!

Funny man Graham - No I was thinking of the Reds that have actually won the Premiership and don't have to think back to the 90's - or is it the 80's for their last league success!! - oh yes, and of course the current UK and European Champions - I am sure you know the ones!

I'm just back and we watched most football matches in the 'Harbor Grill' on the sea front in Puerto de Mazarron...It's situated a short walk to the left of the marina, you won't be disappointed with the food too.... We also watched the Scum (arsenal) in a lovely bar at the end of the marina,(past the marina kebab shop) I think it's called 'LeCal', (or something similar) but when we went to go there mid week,it wasn't open.... We were staying in Puerto de Mazarron,so Campasol probably sounds better when I'm actually staying in the apartment... And I'm with Dan..... Ramos Out and/or Stop playing Four Five One. I've got that covered too Skell, I know a shop at the Marina that sells fridges, washing machines and does furniture packs and air con too and it's right beside the bar I was watching the football on sky..... Geoff

Hi Tan, I was with John De Toot and he was joined a day later by Sam D. Root... Great laugh, though we had a few too many beers at the pub at Condado de Alhama. We also found some really nice places in Puerto de Mazarron... I've never seen so many Chinese restaurants in one street. There are that many that they seem to number them.... ie. Chino 1.....Chino 2.....up to at least Chino 5.... & Wok 1.... Wok 2.... etc. We went into one just past the 'Wok all you can eat €9 buffet', on the same side of the Main street through Puerto de Mazarron (It looks a bit tacky outside) and we all had great food in it. Hi 5... Geoff

A useful thread. I am out next week, and made the cardinal sin of booking a holiday that clashes with the biggest fixture on the UK football calender - the mighty Rams vs Florest (Sund 2nd Nov).
Good to see that there are plenty of bars that will likely be showing the match. Even better if there are some nereby shops for the Doris and kids!

With a bit of luck Fozzie, this massively glamourous clash of the titans will be on a Sunday and Doris and the kids can go to the big market behind the bus station, that takes at least about 2/3 hours to get round... Geoff

Hi Fozzie,
Have a soft spot for the Rams myself - the wife & her family are Derby fans. I noticed there are one a two of you on Condado, so you can both remind each other of the good old days of Cloughie, Todd Macfarland, Hector etc.
However hope you beat Forest & keep climbing the table........keeps her happy too. We are both fromDerby originally, but left many moons ago!!
Regards
Nick
