Some new photos of Corvera taken at the end of January 07. The last one is the master bedroom in the show appartment. Work has definitely started and everything looks good.

Thanks for that. It's good to hear that everything is looking good. We're out in May and will post some photos when we get back. Did they give you any indication on how the Phases are going? Any news on when Phase 1 should be complete?
Thanks.

Phase 1 + 2 are to begin together as soon as services are in. Wouldn't hold your breath on completion though. I have just completed on two units in Roda which should have been completed in June 2006. Based on this I would project that completions in Phase 1 will not be within 18 months. We bought 2 units in Phase 1 of Corvera 18 months ago so I'm planning for another 18 month wait (2 years max.). It's just the way things are in Spain and with such a big development it's to be expected. Was told there are 950 units out of 1800 sold on Corvera before any marketing to the Spanish, this is very very good. The units in Roda are 1st class and to me Corvera looks like an even better prospect. Am out again next week - will post any new photos and ask about projected timescales.
We are going to furnish the 2 properties in Roda next week and they will be available to rent at a reasonable rate if anyone wants to go out to look at both Roda and the progress at Corvera. They are both 2 bed penthouses.

Hi Anita
I mean that 950 properties have been sold so far, but this would mean that sales are much stronger than Roda. We bought in the first release in 2005. I don't know what phase is on release now but I think it is at least three.

Phase 3 are currently being sold but it is only a relatively small Phase. I was advised that Phase 1 is due for completion by Summer 2008

I was out last week, those cranes are not on the Corvera Golf site. There is a building of some sort being built in Corvera town on the edge of the Corvera Golf site. Not enough of it built yet to tell what it is going to be, but it is nothing to do with the development. If the development is the same as Roda then the commercial centre containing shops etc. will be built towards the end of the development programe, lets hope not though as there's not much going on in Corvera town unlike Los Narejos beside Roda. Having bought in Roda and Corvera this is the only downside I can see to Corvera. We have completed in Roda on phase 1 and although there are no shops or restraunts on site there are 3 - 4 supermarkets and lots of restraunts within a few minutes meaning that there is still potential to rent out the properties. Those completing on phase 1 of Corvera (myself included) next year may find that it's a long way to get supplies untill the rest of the phases completing make it comercially viable to build the shops etc. on site. Would like to know if anyone has heard of a projected time frame for building the commercial area or of proposed local development as I can't see there being a market to rent out phase 1 properties untill these are on site. I did read somewhere that a new commercial centre is going to be built on the outskirts of the development. Perhaps that is what is being started. This is in addition to the facilities that are going to be built ON the development. Anyone know otherwise?

Just came back from a weekend visit to Roda and Corvera.
If I was looking at the right construction. The new buildings that are being talked about are not on the corvera site and seem to be new villas / apartments. There are only a handful and it looks like its just a small bit of land privately owned. Nothing to be worried about.
There are large road areas that have been mapped out and cleared around the corvera resort and deep channels have been dug for the sewage concrete pipes, which are also on site adjacent to the new roads. So its looking ready for services work to begin.
There is an architects building / design office on site and although i didnt see any building work going on at the site (it was a saturday) it is obvious that things are moving on.
If corvera is going to be anything like Roda, i think we are in for a treat.
My only concern was that it was quite windy up there, and i kept thinking about the 240 yard par 3, that is being designed.
I hope its not into the wind!
Regards,
Evertom.

All,
I visited Corvera at Easter and took some pictures of the layout & infrastructure, which I have posted on this forum. I took these from the visitor centre terrace and scanned from the hotel area, past the new entrance looking towards Corvera town, and then onto the phase 3 area. The final 4 pictures are of the land area for phase 3.
I also visited Corvera town and the buildings are new apartments. As the construction work was at an early stage it was not clear if any part of the buildings were for commercial use.
Regards
Ken R

Hi all, not that they show much but there are two new April photographs on the Corvera website - not sure where they are of though. Also a link to show they will be participating at a large exhibition (SIMA07) in Madrid, end May beginning of June.
Anita.
