For anybody visiting Jumilla this week....

Hi everyone, whether YWYH or YWYMB

This week is Semana Gastronomica in Jumilla.  All the restaurants on the Ruta del Vino Jumilla are offering special menus at 30 euros including drinks (wine, water and coffee).  There are free guided tours of the town on Saturday and Sunday (you need to book with the tourist office), and traditional music in one of the plazas on Sunday at 12 noon.

In addition, this weekend the following bodegas will be open between 10 and 1 on both Saturday and Sunday, and they will be having free wine tastings:

BSI.  Finca Omblancas.  Pedro Luis Martinez (Alceno).  Carchelo.  Hacienda del Carche.  Silvano Garcia Bodegas.  Casa de la Ermita.  J.M. Martinez Verdu.  Vina Campanero.

As we have signed up for the guided tour on Saturday morning (which leaves Teatro Vico at 10.30) we are hoping that it doesn't last too long or - even better! - that it includes at least one bodega in the tour!

For anybody who either wtmb or wth, i have the following info.

Here in the South Yorkshire hive of industry we have grey skies and drizzle all week by the looks of it.

We also have the reduced prices of pie and chips, with the local beer and skittles to look forward to.

If you pay around 3 quid you can get a bus trip round the town, not a guided tour but a little subsidised, in fact if your a pensioner you can probably get it free.....check with the town hall for details.

Aside from that though, we have paid loads of money to a Spanish builder to build a house for us......not a big house, fairly small, we gave them what they asked and paid on time, we got a contract and guess what.

We got ripped off........so tell you what............invite the Spanish directors over here for our trip round town and lets get a chance to give them some warm Yorkshire hospitality.......

I wil organise the entertainment for them.

Hi Suemac, why not invite scum almudenda, give her so much wine she gets alcoholic posioning and then take her to the doctors office at SADM and leave her.

Thanks for that bit of interesting information and it is nice to know you both seem to be settling in to life in Jumilla and Spain, as we are in Las Filipinas, quite near to La Zenia.

Very funny folks, i did raise a smile, but there comes a time when there is not much left to say or do but get on with life, even if that is a waiting game, which is why i dont post very often now. To be honest i dont think there is much that anyone can say or do that will change the eventual outcome, whatever that may be. Sue and John are at least making the best of a bad deal.

A friend of mine once said to me.............'i know a place in Sheffield where you can get a pie a pint and a woman for a fiver.

I feel that your posting was totally uncalled for and insulting to Almudena, and Suemac could be in trouble if, as has been suggested, SJ monitor this forum.  I believe that the lady concerned is pregnant, therefore it would be irresponsible of Suemac to get her drunk and deprive her of medical attention in her condition! I am fed up with certain people (or one person under many guises?) posting rubbish on this forum.
