HI FOLKS
AS I AM OFFSHORE I DO NOT HAVE MY OWNERS CLUB CONTRACT WITH ME
RECIEVED AN EMAIL FROM THEM, SAYING THEY COULD SEND SOMEONE TO HELP ME DO MY SNAGGING WHICH IS THURSDAY, THEN ON FRIDAY I COMPLETE AT THE NOTARY, BUT THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE TO COME WITH ME, I GAVE THEM MY DATES 8 WEEKS AGO
HAVING PAID £500 TO JOIN AND WAS TOLD AT THE TIME THERE WOULD ALWAYS BE SOMEONE AVAILABLE TO GO WITH ME,
I AM DISGUSTED AND FEEL COMPLETELY CONNED, I HAVE REPLIED TO THE EMAIL SAYING THE SAME AND AWAIT A REPLY, I WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED, HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PATHETIC SERVICE?

It cost us 950E they didn´t help us snag or go to NIE didnt have anyone available for notary so what a waste of time they are!
Just say it was UK problem not theirs

Exactly the same position,. I paid 950 Euros to Parador early 07 and have received just 1 email from them this year. Started off well initially and to their credit looked after us during our visit to Spain on a viewing trip, but soon went down hill. In July we were advised by Polaris that Completion would be in Oct 08 (originally July 09), so had to get our skates on to make the necessary Mortagage, NIE and snagging arrangements. Got NIEs and completed snagging on 27 Oct. Absolutely no contact from Parador until email received today - same as Jill, offering their assistance blah blah!! I explained my disgust at virtually zero communication this year, and advised them that I have no need for their services in the future. Bitterly disappointed of the service that they have provided and they were clearly not up to speed on our status with regards completion. Also had a letter from 'Parador Claims' re assistance in getting promised cashbacks, furniture vouchers etc. Have responded but not raising my hopes.

I know of at least one person who has managed to claim his membership fee back off his credit card company. I'm in the process of trying the same. I don't think it matters that the spanish part haven't gone into administration, if you haven't received any form of assistance or in my case not even a welcome pack then they are failing to provide the service that they stated when you signed up.

We went to Spain on the viewing trip with Parador but decided not to pay the membership fees, good decision as it turns out.
Then today we had a call from Parador in Spain saying as we are due to complete soon did we need any help or advice.
I think they are a bit out of touch as we completed in July.

Sorry to say this guys
We purchased through Parador and all went well
they did our snagging may not have been to our standard as we still have a couple of issues unattended to (polaris failing) but overall they did alright by us.
We made a couple of freinds from their staff and still keep in touch, one still works for Parador one does not. I still get advise and help even though we completed back in July
Maybe we were just lucky

We completed on Friday - just in time before the pound is worth less than a Euro !
Have to say we got half a service from Parador Owners Club. We had to tell them when we were completing and got all our progress photos and reports from EOS. They suggested they would 'hold our hand' throughout the process but we were largely left to our own devices. They called me 4 days before we were due to fly out to complete to say that they didnt have any staff available to accompany us to the notary - we then had to sort out last minute car hire etc
As it turns out, the Parador rep did accompany us all day on Thursday to collect NIE, took us to Condado for snagging (although wasnt prepared to hang about until 2.30 when we had arranged to meet our snagging company rep). We were then shown where the notary was so we could make our own way there on the Friday. Owners Club suggests they will be with you 'throughout the signing process' yet were nowhere to be seen on the most important day
Interestingly, whilst we were out in Spain, they had emailed me at home effectively saying what they would and wouldnt do during the completion process - a bit late as we were already in the middle of it
I was tempted to write a complaint letter and claim the cost of the car hire back but I'm not sure it will be worth it as they obviously have no money to pay creditors

Can I ask to those members of the parador owners club, what they received when they joined up? We never got any welcome pack so don't have a list of the supposed benefits. The only thing we got was a link to the parador owners website which hasn't been updated ever by the looks of it.
