Hi All
just thought I´d let you know that if you want something a little different than Camposol try the Italian restuarant and bar at Cañadas del Romero. If you want variety, hows this.......Its an Italian Bar, run by Georgio and his wife, so brush up on your Italian as well as your Spanish :).
The menu del dia is 9 euro and includes 3 course meal and a drink. It is frequented by both British and Spanish from surrounding areas, who have integrated so well that they have both Spanish and English entertainers and run community classes from Ceroc dancing and Spanish lessons to karate and Feng Shui.
They have a regular Sunday boot fair which has become a meeting place for not just the the locals, but people come from as far away as Almeria. You can get all the local newspapers and gossip and its a general hub of information. All the local organisations Lions, Pals, Welcome, Mabs can be found here.
Where is it....Head for Camposol on the motorway, take the turn off before sign posted El Pareton. B4 you get to El Pareton you will come to Cañadas del Romero. Look to the right and you will see the sign post for Cioa Italia (has a picture of Georgio´s son on it ). Looks like a few garages but turn up the unmade camino and there it will be.
Hope this is helpful to some of you

hiya Sky 2
that sounds great, we'll give it a try next time we are over, we like to try nice local places.
If you want somewhere near to Condado, last week we discovered a new hotel and golf club at Camposol , I didn't even know it existed. Apparantely it opened a couple of weeks ago. The menu del dia was 12 euros, drinks reasonable price, meal, 4 bottles of wine, water, bacardi & cokes, total for 5 = £84 (just got the visa bill) They had a live band and dancing if you wanted to. Not at all Spanish but all in all a good night right on the doorstep.
To find it turn into Camposol past the shops, Consum etc , and continue through the housing estate, follow the signs for Sensol Hotel, the hotel is on the right golf club on the left. Has a nice balcony and bbq area overlooking the golf course, was dark and raining but imagine will be great in the summer until our place is finished.
ps. there is a nice Spa in the hotel that I'll be trying out soon

Thank's Sky2,
I remember Andy from Zbedz in Camposol telling me about this village. He said that they go there once a month for a curry night (I mentioned I was not too impressed with the one on Camposol B) and it is the ...............Italian restuarant that does it. Said it was a great night.
Regards,

Well Billbo,
I know a great Indian resturant but it may be a bit far for you to travel until you have familarised yourself with the area. All I will say is that I have tried Indian resturants all over the world, the best I found was a place near the Garbe Hotel on the Algave in Portugal (its 8 hours drive from here), but i will say the Japur beats it hands down.
A little bit nearer to home is the Amaro restaurant (Spanish but do understand a little English) and is a little more up market. It has superb steaks (never had a bad one yet) Its on the left hand corner as you drive out of El Pareton. For those who really want to experience a spanish menu del dia just round the corner is Maria Joseph , bit like a transport cafe, where Maria shouts the menu del dia out to you in Spanish (muy rapido) and shouts at her husband if he doesn´t hear the order or gets anything wrong.
Happy eating!

I was going to ask if anyone has been to el Pareton as I am aware that there is at least one restaurant there. Is it a town or village? I have been over 6 times in the last year or so but have never had much time to get there with everything else I have needed to attend to but I do intend having a good mooch around when I get back at the end of March for a couple of weeks.

Hi All
I totally agree with Sky2, the Italian is great, food and entertainment and the Staff and owners are very funny and friendly. 6 of us went last weekend all had starters, main meals, 3 had desserts and we all had drinks ( soft for me of course) and it all totalled to 84 Euro, Gorgeous Food.
Hope your all fine and not suffering too much with the dismal weather I keep hearing about.
See some of you soon for Chrimbo & New Year, for those that cant make it all the very best for Christmas and New Year
Carol, Ash & Tom

Hi Kevin,
Yes he´s a friend of ours he used to run many clubs in the UK is is an ex England squad who came 2nd in world Championships, so well qualified. He is just setting up different venues all locally one at Cañadas and I think two at Camposol. These will be for 5 to 14 year olds and 15 to adult, both experienced and beginners classes.
