Road

Hi Everyone!

Having a great time over here! Enjoyed meeting up with Ken and Lyn,who are here for a long stay like us. We  enjoyed a good chat(and a few drinks!) down at Fathoms with them and Suzanne and her parents too, last Saturday night.

As regards to the road,I can confirm what Laurden and Suzanne have already said.We had a long chat with Liliano in the sales office who told us the same things about the progress of the road.She also said that Prienisur are in negotiations with Manilva Town hall because they are sayingthat no more liciences can be issued until the road is complete;even for those blocks not affected by the road(egBlock8)Prienisur are obviously not happy as they have paid their contribution to the road.It seems that it could be months before it is sorted.She said that it would be resolved by the Summer.

Voya-no problem with your garage access.The other pools will be open in April when they will be used-you can understand Prienisur not wanting the extra expense when nobody is using the pools at the moment.However the gardeners are busy working most days and the place is looking good.The cleaners come and do the stairs and landings and little jobs are getting finished all the time on phase 1.There were men working on fixing the garage doors by lock 7 yesterday and the lights in the garage have been fixed since we were out in November,the lift has also been serviced.

hey you guys... glad your still living the life.  hard to believe this time last week we were playing cat and mouse around the bars in sabinillas.

Glad others can confirm the information i passed on too.  i used two very reliable spanish sources to get my information, it wasn't just tittle tattle, i just hope they get it sorted out between them soon.  I just cant believe the town hall can get away with spending the money and saying there is none left in the council fund, when it was paid specifically to them for the road to be finished.  There was talk of a new contractor being instructed. This, i presume, is so they do not have to pay the other contractor the 4 months (not 4 weeks) money they owe in order for them to start up again.  They were not told to stop, they walked off the job due to lack of payment.   This road has always been there and is crucial to many more people than those on our site, so i think they will look at it soon.  However, who knows, i do struggle to get to grips with they way the spanish do things. 

As far as the other phases are concerned, they were working flat out and even had a full team working last saturday morning.  i walked past and they were hard at it.  i still think people on those phases will be in before some of the blocks on ours now.  I was assured that this problem with the road was nothing to do with our development and that work is continuing as normal to get the rest of it finished whilst it is being sorted.  

Then again, who knows. Sorry, wish i could pass more on.

I for one will be glad when this road is done, we are up in Coto Real and it's a treck down to the port as we have to go all the way around Sabinilas to get to it, we were told it would take 18 months from start to finish, please keep us informed of any new info, would love to meet you all when you get in as we have to pass you to go out at night.

This business with the road is very frustrating for those of us waiting but I'm sure it must be frustrating for our developers too. I am surprised that the developer is not tking legal action against the town hall for failing to hold up their end of the agreement with regard to the road - although maybe they are worried that if they did that it might be a long long time before any more LFO's were granted.

Incidentally, is Phase 1 still on builders supplies of water and electricity?

yes it is randl.   i am hoping it will last for some time longer considering the emptiness of the place. some of the people have exchanged apartments for ones in the released blocks and got better ones.  they seem to be very happy.  consider this.  i would.  its a lovely development you know. dont know if you have been out recently but great location.  best your gonna get so close to the beach and new.
