does anyone know when the fiestas and local markets are on?

The Roda Fiesta is approx last week in August/First week in Sept.

There is a Saturday Morning Market in Los Narejos. Turn right through the Oasis Arch follow to the end. The market is on the left. Not many pitches in the winter. There is a Sunday market in the open air cinema ground on the way to the airport. I don't know the winter hours.

their is a big market in los alcazares on tuesdays  8 untill 2 'go past he new spa hotel and garageand it is about half a mile on the right .their is also a good one in san javia opp the first roundabout

There is a huge Carnival in Aguilas starting middle of Feb see dates http://www.carnavaldeaguilas.com/       the best nights are 27th which is the drag queen night and brilliant it starts at 6.00pm goes on till around 11.00pm and then the fun starts in the bars until day light!! also the last night 28th Feb starts at 6.00pm and goes on till around midnight and again the drinking etcgoes on all night as this is the official last night, one not to be missed finishes with a firework display from the castle.... enjoy.
