Soon to be new owner on Condado

Hello,

I am very new to this but here goes. We have bought a penthouse on condada and are due to come over to sign and arriving 23rd March (have been waiting for our habitation certificate) was over in October and are looking forward to see how everything has progressed and by the sounds of it alot seems to have been done. Is there a recommended site for me to go on re- renting for ourselves while we are there.  When we came over in Oct stayed in a really horrible hotel !! not wanting to do that again. Any suggestions ?? thanks Dean and Nikki ?? oh and not wanting to spend to much at the moment  (as I think  most people are these days) .

Welcome to the forum.

We completed on our 2 bed apartment in the Jardines last July and like most people on here have gone through the highs and lows. I am sure everyone will agree you have bought on a fantastic site in a beautiful location.

With regards to your question .....A number of owners, who are renting, have special deals for fellow "Condadonians" and I am sure you will get some responses and offers.

In the meantime have a look through the earlier threads, we did and they have been an valuable source of information.

Also don't hesitate to ask, no matter how simple the question, everyone  on this forum is really helpful and I am sure that , like us you, will make loads of friends.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations and good luck with your completion.  As already posted, you will find just about everything you could possibly wish to know, and some, by scrolling down, and when you get to the bottom, click show all threads and you will go back months.

We have a 3 bed on Los Naranjos Jardin 7, which although at present we do not wish to rent out commercially,  we are renting out to friends, family and fellow Condadoers.  There are photos posted above, numbers 21439 & 37745 dated 8th Jan.  Please feel free to contact us for further details, not sure if you will be able to access or send PMs, you may need to send a request to EOS.

thanks you so much for all your replies, it is so nice to hear from other people who are in the same situation as us.  With the current climate the way it is we worry everyday that we made the right decision some 2 years ago to committ to this, and seeing that homes are being sold off alot less than what we paid for it is scary, but we are hoping that in years to come we will know we made the right choice !!! and thanks for you links and for renting when we come over will show Dean when he gets home.  Thanks you all I will now post any little worries I have.

Any little worries just post a thread and everyone is so helpful on EOS in sharing their experiences.  You'll have so many ideas and suggestions which can sometimes I must say confuses me to know which one to go for expecially when shopping for goods. 

I have to say this forum has been like a big FRIEND to me, and to know you aren't alone is really good!

Yes I can tell already this is going to be on my lap top as well as facebook lol !!! one thing I am noticing with the rental properties is everyone has air con, unfortunately we did not opt for this option at the time (money wise) so was going to have it put in at a later date, did u all have yours done when it was being built ? ah u are there 23rd as well, and a meet up for a drink would be great, just looking for a apartment to rent lots to choose from now.

Welcome to the forum.  I think everyone has already summed up the forum - a fantastic friendly bunch of people, all sharing worries, concerns, information and suggestions!  What more could you wish for?

Like you, we too had concerns as we signed up to buy our apartments in September 2006 and could never have anticipated the current economic climate at that time.  But, despite the worries and last minute jitters, we are absolutely thrilled with our apartments.

We have two apartments in Jardin 12 for rent (they are both two bedroomed apartments with the large private roof terrace).  If you want to see plenty of photos, information about the resort and local area etc, please have a look at our website - www.condadogolfapartment.com.  We are happy to do a nightly rate if you only need to go over for a few days - please get in touch if you would like any more information etc.

Good luck with your completion arrangements etc and hope that despite your worries, you are as happy as the rest of us once you have finally completed.

Welcome to the forum as you are already seeing most, if not all on the forum are only to willing to help each other which is fantastic as most of us haven’t even met each other yet, despite this you will soon consider them your personal frends.

As far as Air Conditioning goes lots of people are opting to have it installed, most popular is the type that will heat in winter and cool in summer as Murcia has all the seasons albeit not as extreme as UK, it is more economical to run than you would think as long as you don’t have it running with the windows open all day.

Polaris world as part of the building of all the properties have already installed the basic pluming and wiring for the installation of Air Con so its just a case of having the units installed.

I would recommend you use Gary of Polair Costablance www.polaraircostablanca.com/ good price, down to earth person, gave good advice, excellent units and first class workmanship. He is well recommended on this forum, he has done lots of installation on Condado and to the best of my knowledge all are very satisfied. He will recommend you the best option for your needs and provide you with a no obligation quote.

We too had Gary from Polarair install our aircon & we are very pleased with the result.

We had a panasonic Multi ( I think its called ) because the apartment we stayed in, in January had that system, also installed by  Gary of polarair & we were very impressed

Saying that Gary has a number of different systems & i`m sure he will advise you on all as he did with us.
