Penthouse Insurance

Hi All

Anyone give us any tips with regards to home and contents insurance. Looking for clear good value property insurance.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

We used Intasure who came out at about £118 for the year. Less than half what Zurich were quoting us through Polaris.

Yep Intasure too. Very efficient and obliging. Good policy but watch for high excess.

I think I paid £129 to Intasure for the insurance on our penthouse. £13000 contents and 1 million for the re build costs. Seemed reasonable and far less than some other companies that were quoting around the £300 mark.

Do we need "additional" buildings insurance for our penthouse OR  is does this cover already exist and the premium is covered by your service charges paymenst to PW as it is if you own a flat (as we do) in the UK ?

I understand totally the need for contents insurance but confused over buildings, I see some good names here Hiscox / Intasure but I am not clear what we need on buildings !!

We have a mortgage with Lloyds TSB Spain, and one of the conditions is that we take out buildings insurance with them. Don't know if this helps

Hi,

Our insurance is £10,000 contents and £1 million buildings. I'm sure you need buildings insurance.

After more research with my mortage provider bankhaha (as we call them)  actually Bancaja  - it appears part of the mortage application has already kindly included insurance for me at  - buildings 97K EU and contents 14K Eu all for a annual premium of 206.52 EU ?

I think we wil go with the bank for the 1st year just to get the blooming completion done without further tears  !
