Buildings Insurance

Hi Everone

Advice on where to get best buildings insurance cover thats not going to cost an arm and a leg. We will need to get this in place for signing dates otherwise mortgage company will insist on having theirs which I think may be expensive.

We went with Zurich the company suggested by polarisworld, we checked with our solicitor who suggested 3 other companies ( cant remember the namesright now) and although the costs were quite close Zurich just covered everything including 3rd party liability insurance up to 300,000 euro.

The premium for a 3 bed ground floor in the jardines was about 220 euro,hope this  helps. this price was in june last year.

Sorry - should have added, my policy with Intasure cost 117 euros in Jan 2009 for the year. Good cover and others have used them.

€130 CAM Bank for a 3 bed Jardine........ not had to claim on it yet, and i doubt anyone else has had to claim on their policies, so at the moment no policy is worth the paper it's written on, until proven !!!!!!
