I really don't know why you made  comments about " my bag was over "  "but  the lady behind me" and telling me "not to whinge" and "tried to get away with it but got caught".  We were not trying to get away with anything the luggage had the same items in it as going.  I thought these blogs were aimed at helping one another on Condado and talking about our experiences on buying in Spain.  My mistake.  Jane.

Hi Children,

Have i started something, I only asked a simple question.      Have sorted everything out, I packed my case last night with all I was intending to take and low and behold I'm under 10kg, problem solved.  Now just got to convince my teenage daughter that her wardrobe won't fit in a hold bag.  Wish me luck.

I think the point of this thread was just to make people aware of the fact that their hand luggage may now be weighed whether large or small, whereas in the past a bag that was the right size but possibly overweight would not have been. I myself usually pay to book in a large case and also carry my allowance in hand luggage. May i also say that i do not pay for priority boarding as i believe charging people to get on a plane first is another way for airlines to make a quick buck! i do not think that because i refuse to pay for this that it makes me either miserable or ignorant.

And this thread! Seems like the mention of the word Ryan Air and air rage has begun.

Ryan Air is a joke, if U can't see the funny side of the seat dash, go with someone dearer.

I know people like to sit together (why I don't really know when they look like they have spent the last 40 years together), but people carry on like the seats are gonna run out and they will be standing on the wing or something.

The trick is to accept U are going 2 get a seat on the aeroplane, it may not be where U want or next 2 who U want, take ur own food and drink and wear lots of clothes, layers and layers, with lots of pockets (full up with heavy items and toiletries) as people do not get weighed. 

And rememeber the flights are usually cheaper than the airport parking.

Just returned from Spain with RYANAIR, sorry should not have shouted.  Hand luggage is weighed going and returning.  If they believe the case too big for the frame they watch you try it in the frame.  Very very strict on this now.  Noticed a lot more passengers having to try their cases in the frame.

In Murcia at the boarding gate one check in girl checks you in, while the other stands at a frame they have brought down and looks at each persons bags.  Again any suspision of o/size and they make you put it in frame.

Checking in.  DO CHECK IN ONLINE.  Charges for not doing so are :- £9.50 out of L'pool.  20 Euro's from Murcia.  Another new "RULE". If you failed to check in online you WILL have to pay your £9.50.  Once you have paid this you now automatically have to pay on your return journey too!  You would be wasting your time thinking you can book it over there in an internet cafe.

Flight time.  Approx 21/2 Hours.  I dont care who I sit next to if I'm AWARE of and FOLLOWING the rules in order to obtain a cheap flight.  Paying an extra £20 on Monarch does not guarantee you sitting next to a better class of passenger.  If the flight times are suitable I also fly with them too!

You get what you pay for.  You either accept it or if you don't, fly another airline.

I don't like their service and attitude either, so I minimise my travels with them. just a pain that from the midlands (ema) they offer the best fly times for long weekends.

What I do hate are people who think the can ignore the 'admittedly' strict rules. The try to haul freaking suit cases as handlugage on board, force them in the overhead compartments, leaving virtually no space for those who stick to the measurements. If you are not on board quickly enough you have to hunt for a space or end up having to put your hand lugguage in the holt.

I fly a lot and at times I can get very irrate with the way BA, AA or other Euro/US carriers treat its passengers, so unless we can fly singapore or emirates airlines into murcia, we are stuck with this lot.

its only 2 and a bit hours so relax, have a wine and close your eyes, dream of sun sea and sangria.... (unless your flying back to UK)

I have read every moan and groan about ryanair, we fly with them everytime, I havent found anything cheaper and when you like to fly out about every month for a weekend or longer then youve got to save where you can, I dont have the problem with the scramble as my mums in a wheelchair so we get seats saved and yes its us that seem to be holding the plane up whilst they carry her to her seat.  but joking apart they are fantastic to us and you never know when you might need it yourself!!!  But the funniest thing is this my husband flew out to me to complete on cda a couple of weeks ago and he is a very easy going guy and has a passion for red wine always treats himself to a couple on the journey but NO MORE..............'SHE CHARGED ME £6 FOR A MOUTHFUL OF RED WINE'  I nearly died laughing as I have been trying to get him to cut down for years...........his philosophy now is that he will save himself till he gets to the villa and he can have 3 full bottles for £6 from Lidl and its better quality wine...................SO I HAVENT WON THAT ONE EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry if I'm being disrespectful at all, but why are your post formatted like this.  They are really quite awkward to read, and I just wondered if there was anything that could be done to make them look better?   Having said that the content is fine but I find myself giving up trying to read them after a while because I have to keep scrolling across the page. Maybe someone on here could assist you with some technical help?

Regards Ryan Air, it all boils down to, you get what you pay for and if it means we can go out to our apartment more often, that's fine.

We can go there with Ryan Air cheaper than we can get a good night out here, so can't all be bad.   June
