Hi All,
Can anyone tell me the reason why PW have moved the Faro from it's original postion? It looks like it is going to be near where the Oasis was/is. Is it to replace the Oasis? PW are reluctant to answer our questions I would have thought a big move like this should warrant us being advised of the changes to Condado's main infrastructure.
Photo's looking good but can't work out where the Faro is now, according to the main plans it was supposed to be south of the Jack Nicklaus signature course in between the fairways - can anyone enlighten us?
Starting to get excited now as we should be snagging soon looking forward to seeing the place first hand as wev'e only been out once and that was to buy back in 07.
Cheers
Pete & Deb

Its between Jardin 13 and the first Jardin in Los Naranjos & opposite La Isla, I believe they have merged the 2 together, although I'm a bit gutted they have done away with individual town centres to me it makes sense.

Hi Dan,
Just spoke to PW and they have said the Faro is being built in the same location as the master plan.
And the Oasis is still going to be built
So it will not bloke our view of the golf course. thanks again for the info.

Hi Pete,
I guess it depends on which version of the masterplan your looking at!
The Foro has definately moved from it's original position on the 'original' masterplan,
Originally it was to be between garden 6&7
It now between Jardines J13 and Naranjos J1
So dependimg on which block/floor in La Isla you're in it might block your view, but then the penthouses that are planned will do that anyway.

Hi Pete & Deb
Originally PW were to provide two small town centres for resident’s use, one being the Foro, which was to be opposite the Jardins de Alhama, Jardins 5&6 now numbered 5&7.
The other town centre being the Agora should have been located in Los Naranjos de Alhama, in-between Jardins 6&7 and opposite the golf club house.
PW have decided that arrangement is now not economically viable due to the downturn in the world economy and have shelved those plans, which may be reinstated in the future??? In the place of those two town centres they are building one town centre called the New Foro, which is being built as we speak and is located on land to the side of Los Naranjos de Alhama Jardin 1 and just inside the security gate opposite La Isla del Condado.
This now provides one town centre reasonably accessible by all residents on Condado and reduces costs for PW.
Most peoples understanding is that the Oasis town centre will be built in the future but is shelved until the economy recovers along with a number of other areas of the complex. PW don’t do consultation they just change thing as and when they wish, possibly not legal and definitely not good customer relations, but that’s not something they trouble themselves about. That said the resort is looking fantastic and I am sure you will not be disappointed especially if you have not seen it since 07.
The master plan they are referring to when you have spoken to them will be the new master plan they now have, not the original one you would be thinking about, so they are not lying in saying it's as shown on the master plan. PW are very good at telling people just what they want to hear and don’t always allow openness and truthfulness to get in the way. The location of the New Foro will not have significant impact to your outlook but this may depend on your exact location, from what I have seen of the La Isla location your outlook is excellent. Despite most peoples criticisms of the way PW conduct themselves as far as customer service goes I will just repeat that the resort is excellent and I am sure you will not de disappointed.
Phil

Hi Phil,
Thanks for the clarifaction I agree PW are crafty I used to work for a Spanish firm and used have the same sort of experience in getting correct info.
We are in block 10 2nd floor on La Isla still cannot wait to get out there and start living the dream it's just a shame PW could not be more forthcoming on thier intended plans a little openess would go a long way in reassuring people, they seem to forget without us the customer they would have no business.

Nope, it's just a rather large water feature.
I guess the plan it that all the visitors to the Foro will throw thier loose change it for Polaris to collect to help pay the running costs

Hi Guys,
I know that the original plans have been shelved for now and may be re-instated for the smaller town centres, but in the interim period do we now know what is going to be there instead i.e. between Naranjos 6&7? Are they going to grass these areas over? As at the moment it is just flat rubble and dust. I heard that the noise levels that the owners are encountering around the Supermarket/Bar in the jardines were also to do with this change.
Regarding the Oasis being suspended, here comes the million dollar question......Is this definately just a suspension and not a full retraction. I know the economy is unstable at the moment, but this plan is definately one of the better features, well from my point of view anyway, (I love nothing more than hitting the shops with my husbands credit card on a hot day!) I do hope that this once again becomes a profitable opportunity and viable option for Polaris, so they start to build soon (Realistically sometime 2010, based on climate). I would rather Polaris manage their cashflow than end up on a half built resort with no facilities at all, yet it is still disappointing. It would also be nice, if we received notification in the form of a standard update letter that goes out to all residents, or at least something being posted on the notice board at the Supermarket, afterall we do have an invested interest.
On another note, I can't wait to get out there on Friday and take a look at the progress with La Foro and La Isla, not seen it since New Year.
Kind Regards
Kelly

Nothing on the roof of the Foro - this is where the light comes into the units as there are no external windows. Also the pool will be ornamental with fountains.
It is already concreted and can see pipes where I think the fountains will be.
