Air Con Device

Hi all,

Further to the post below, which I put on last month under the 'Patio Doors' thread I have an update for you all on the Ecosense device - IT WORKS!!!!!

We bought one and took it with us to Spain last week, fitted it and it does exactly what it says on the box!

I'm not sure if the air con units are the same in all the blocks, but we have a Thane unit and are in Block 12.

For those of you who rent out your apartments I would strongly suggest you buy one and give it a try.

You might also be interested to know that we took ours out to Spain in our hand luggage, removing it from our bag to go through the X-Ray machine and we had no problems.

Hi All,

I have phoned Ecosense this afternoon and they are confident that it will work with our air conditioning units at DV.  The device works with all Chinese manufactured air conditioning units and he informed me that 'Thane' used to be a Chinese run company, so it should be OK.

However, I have been assured that if I get to DV and it doesn't work I can send it back for a full refund when I return home.  I have ordered mine today, as I don't see what I've got to lose by taking it with me and bringing it back if it doesn't work!

I have been told by ordering today I should get it in 3 days time.  Beware the £9 postage charge though, which comes as a bit of a shock when you get to checkout stage...  Having said that I think I would rather pay £58 for the Ecosense device than be stung with a huge electricity bill during the summer months.

I will get my 'technical assistant'  (my husband) to fit it when we are out at DV in May and I'll let you all know!!

You can order your Ecosense online at http://www.ecosense.uk.com/ or for enquiries its 0800 9172659.

There isn't a make or model number, they are all the same. When you order it just check that you can return it when you get back to the UK if it doesn't work.  As I said ours works in Block 12, but I am unsure if all the air con units in DV are the same?

There was even a feature on the units in the Easyjet In-flight magazine I read on the plane!

I hope you get yours to work too!
