Taxi Service

Hi All, The wife and i will be out for the very first time 9th july as i dont intend to do any driving i was wondering if there is any body offering a taxi service for the odd days and evenings we want to get off site ???

I'm amazed you haven't had more replies to your thread yet.

Yes there are people on CdA who offer airport runs, local trips, shopping visits, etc.

I don't want to recommend anyone in particular as I haven't had to use anyone, but if you hang on and keep watching this thread, I'm sure you will get a few names and numbers.

I don't have any numbers anymore as many 'taxi' companies have ceased trading over the last couple of years. Prblem is that foreiners struggle to get a licence. also the local taxi firms don't realy allow others to operate without a license to protect their patch so to speak....

So police crackdowns and beatings closed down a lot of illegal taxis on camposol. I believe there is one licenced white cab lately on camposol in the evenings. People better give him some trade otherwise he will look somewhere else too.

Some still do airport runs and the occasional sightseeing trip but thats about it to the best of my knowledge..

we asked on Camposol and was given 2 numbers, unfortunately i left them in the apartment

also we used Juan, he turned up at the time we booked him for, charges 15 euro to camposol

Is it just me and my Yorkshireness coming out again, but 15 euros to Camposol seems a bit steep given it's only approx 5 mins down the road.

I suppose if there's only 1 taxi service though, he can charge what he likes.

We too would appreciate any info re: taxis. We will be out for the month of July without a car but there will be 6 of us (2 adults/4 Children).  Had heard that there was a 7 seater on Camposol (Martin and Veronica) -- can anyone else confirm this is true, as 2 taxis at a time will be quite costly.

Would appreciate any info.

yes Martin has a 7 seater, we have booked him for next weekend as he gets booked up really quickly. I got his card from Kennellys but ive left it in the apartment
