Polar Air Gary's details requrired.

Dont know if this is just scaremongering but I was told that Gary at Polar Air has had to return to the UK so will no longer be fitting in the area.

Could be no truth in this whatsoever so apologies if this is an ill-founded rumour

Information the same as this was rumoured some months ago and was totally unfounded, it was put about by some unscrupulous person attempting to damage Gary’s business.

Gary is still in business to the best of my knowledge and runs a reputable quality business which most if not all his clients would testify too.

Although I am sure the post below was posted with good intentions, please think carefully before posting information that could have a detrimental effect on others.

Just like to add, let's not forget Spain normally shuts down in August.  But it doesn't mean to say everyone wi;; stop work.

We were over the last couple of weeks and Gary is very busy on Condado. He helped us resolve issue with our Pre-Install from PW and, as usual, provided good service.

Gary fitted my aircon on Jardines de Alhama last year, along with some spot lights all of which are working great.
 

I did however also pay home over 100 euros for a surge protector that was to be fitted after iberdrola handed over electric to us.
 
I tried to arrange with Gary to get this done when out in may, but dates didn't work out for eithier of us
 
I'm out again in Sept, can you please arrange to have this fitted in Gary's absence??  He can of course confirm all of this as being accurate.

I find this all very strange,  my reasoning behind this is whenever we have spoken to Gary he has always said that business could not be better and that he has had the best couple of years since Condado opened and he even mentioned that is was Arlene he should thank for all his success as she was his first client on Condado.  He did mention to us that there was another company trying to muscle there way in and he was keeping an eye on them, so I personally would hang fire until we get confirmation from a reliable source before we all jump ship.  Gary could just be over in UK visiting friend and family for a few weeks and I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for just now or until I here to the contarary.

I agree. We were over in the last few weeks and Gary helped us sort some pre-install issues with our air con and PW. Seemed happy enough and very, very busy. No mention of any issues.

Gary attended to our leaking air con unit on Friday 31st August (the day we reported it to him).  He then told us to report it to PW as it was a pre install issue and that he wouldn't need to attend any PW inspection....we reported it to PW and they asked me to make sure Gary attended the appointment.  We tried for over a week to get hold of him by phone & text and not one single reply....this is unlike our past experience of Gary.  At the last minute I called Steve (Rocketman below) who came with Mark and checked out another issue we were having in our other apartment.  He fixed the issue and I am very grateful to him for his prompt service and the fact our business was with Gary and not him.....(PW have also fixed the preinstall issue).

All I can say is that Gary has not been contactable at all......and that Steve stepped into the breach admirably....if people have similar issues and need the job doing (whilst over in Spain for example) I would suggest taking Steve up on his offer if Gary remains uncontactable....Steve earned nothing from our work and actually convinced me I didn't need any maintenance contract...so fair play

I spoke to Gary a couple of weeks ago, he was going on holiday as the heat was making it difficult to work and that there was a shortage of Air Con units available at the moment due to the high demand.

He is going to fit my air con (not the units I initially wanted but better ones at the same price!) I did find getting hold of him difficult but I know he has been incredible busy.

Call me a synic, but if you were trying to get a foothold in an area that has a wealth of potential customers in it would you not bend over backwards to get good reviews from existing customers.  I am still going to wait to hear from a reliable source that Gary has packed it in and gone home.

Come on Gary where the fcuk are you??

   on the subject of polarair,gary fitted our air con units earlier in the year.we are having problems with the the units and despite e mails phone calls and waiting in 3 days in a row he failed to turn up even to look .he then started switching his phone off.our last conversation was just to blame the builders .so where i have previously reccommended polarair in the past im afraid that is no longer the case as i cant even use the unit and obviously after sales/ guarantee is non existent.ill probly need to get another contractor to put it right.the most expensive units by the way

Hi Steve,

Sorry the synic in me again but you couldn't have been that good of a mate if he hasn't even told you were hes gone and why?  Yes it is very good that you and Mark are taking on the problems that Gary has so called abondoned but I'd like to give it another wee while before I give up hope.  I am not only a synic but I am also very loyal and Gary has been a star not only for us but for lots of folks on Condado and i don't shift my loyalties easily. 

I only pray and hope our aircon doesn't pack in or I may be calling on your services (that's  if we can't find Gary).
