Can anyone recommend a nice place to eat on the sea front?

Terra Mare which is on Playa Espejo or Playa Palmeras, Los Alacazres is good. It doesn't look much from the outside but the food is good and the views are lovely during the day.  It's sign says it is a pizzeria but it isn't just that.

Yes, I have to agree that Terra Mare is our fave beach front restaurant - menu del dia is €9.50 for a starter, salad, main, bread, pud and drink - delicius spanish food. We always go there - its on the promenade so the kids play on the beach whilst we watch with a glass of wine.

Try San Antonio - it serves mainly Spanish food but also serves English breakfast before 11.30am. It is situated on a pier on Los Alcazares beach. We normally go to Los Narejos (through the main Plaza near Roda) beach and walk towards Los Alcazares. It is about one mile walk along the beach. We go there at least once on our every trip to Roda. Enjoy.

Arun.

Ooops - just realised that someone has already recommended San Antonio!! But it goes to show at least 2 people are voting for San Antonio.

To find Terra Mare follow the dual carriageway past El Patio 2 heading towards Los Alcazares. Go through the roundabout at the Euromarina office and then take the left at the next roundabout (ie. just before you reach El Arbol and the Sol petrol station). Follow this road to the beach (a few hundred yards) and you are at Terra Mare.

Best beach bar we have found by miles is Jonnys bar turn right onto prom from the entrance to the beach near Angelas and is about 200m up. The food is exceptional for the price and for such a little bar,  there is a german woman serving who has a permanant smile on her face and cannot do enough to please you, we have eaten there 4 or 5 times now and always been very good.

Hi

We love Terra Mare too! Menu del dia excellent and we have eaten there off the A La Carte menu in the evening.

Watch out on tapas though - anything containing fish is expensive and the calamares we were the worst we've ever had, and we've lived here 7 years now!
