When I was last out I was cajoled into a game of tennis with my spanish neighbour (he speaks no english and I speak no spanish! - interesting afternoon....)
Beleive me - the first Magners quelled the post game thirst and the second was extremely pleasant. If I'd had to walk up to The Clover for the post match refreshments I would not have had the energy to do so!
I can possibly understand the reduced customers meaning it isn't viable to keep open in the evenings however I would be dissapointed to not have the bar open during the day.

I'm also hoping its only temporary for the low season and they keep it open during the day. Unfortunately PW always seem to charge up as a result of their 5* status and its difficult when you have children or grandchildren demanding drinks immediately after being out in the sun. We quite liked this bar when we'd been out shopping as it was handy stroll for a beer- though it wasnt mad busy when we were there late August. However, it did always have some customers and people had to use it for th WiFi too- I wonder what the plan is for that if it isnt working in the apartments.
Pity they couldnt he incorporated a couple wracks for bread and papers and a cold cabinet for milk - that would have increased the clientel.

Lets hope that they get a move on and put the gym in, and then this would help to keep the snack bar open during the day, I wonder if anyone who's out there at the moment, can people still use the computers, or the wifi connection

Andy, keep the football comments to the other thread -
yes simple economics indeed - if people use it, it will stay open, but if people think the prices are too high, it won't get used and they'll close it - supply and demand. They have to cover heat, light and Herbert in the price and I think two twixes and a bottle of water for 5 euro is not off the mark - so quit
mmmmmmooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnning
or buy them in the supermarket
and have the odd beer, coke or glass of milk in the place and it might stay open.

Jeb - in the interests of free speach I think people should be allowed to discuss the negatives (or mmmmoooaaaannnn, as you put it) as well as the positives.
It appears anyone who expresses an view, which is not praising the resort or Polaris World is instantly dismissed as a moaner!
I personally dont mind the Bar prices as I feel it will keep out the bars quite exclusive, although if I had children I would probably be complaining about the prices myself!

Now I see you are an accountant it makes sense that you can afford to be ripped off in the bar as I know what accountants charge!!!! Now behave or its the naughty stair for you.........

Ant another classic from you boys in Geordieland
Cappie, I did read that and didn't think it was that good to be honest.
I'm just casting my line and seeing what I can reel in - too many people take themselves sooooooooo seriously

I showed my Son this thread, and he (as a Fulham fan) thinks rather than time of the month, it is the football results that are putting Jeb in such a bad mood (oops, sorry, I will now get told off for posting this on the wrong thread ..... probably by Jeb

Hi all,
Does anyone know what is to happen with making bookings for the courts if bar is closed? Are PW going to pay someone to sit at the bookings desk alone or will we have to book somewhere else?

Hi Quiet Man,
Thanks for the updates. Do you know if the sports facilities were closed after 8:30 as well or were the flood lights still on for later play?
Thanks once again.
