What about that English supermarket on Camposol? Don't know for sure cos I don't need to buy them, but it's a good bet. Thinking about it, do any supermarkets in Spain sell cigarettes?

Places like supermarkets & garages etc can no longer sell cigarettes in Spain, it's been that way for a few years now. You either have to go to a Tabac or find a machine in a bar/restaurant or hotel.
As mentioned, there is a Tabac in Puerto Mazarron or if on your way to CDA from San Javier airport, there is one in the centre of Torre Pacheco.

Hi
Theres also a Bodega on Camposol A that sells cigarettes - up beside the English butchers. They also sell wine from huge big barrels - you can take along your own container and its priced by the litre (around 1.50 for the good stuff)

The Clover sells cigarettes in the machine. Didn't seem too pricey from what I can remember (too many drinks by that time) & you actually get a full packet rather than 16 you would get at home. If not, only other place I have bought them from is the Tabac in Mazzaron as mentioned earlier.

Is there a problem with buying them at the duty free. Could buy 200 and leave what you don't use till next time.

The onsite bar only sells Spanish cigs. Camposol (Kinnellys) vends English Lambert and Butler. You have to go to a tobacconist to purchase cigarettes other than machines in bars as Supermarkets are no longer able to sell these items due to legallities.

There is a Tabac in La Pinilla.
Head towards Camposol, but take the first exit towards Las Palas/La Pinilla (the exit before Camposol). Follow the signs to Las Palas and the Tabac is in the first village you come across (keep left when entering the village and it is immediately on your right). It's a tiny shop, open Monday to Friday, but he has a decent stock (usually).

Ali... There's no such thing as Duty Free between here and Spain. You're not even allowed to buy cigarettes from the "Airside" shops when travelling in the EC.
Cheers, Julian.

Hi Julian,
So what are the shops you buy from after you have passed through passport control, where you can buy alcohol, cigs, perfume, sweeties, make-up, watches, jewellery etc, always thought this was duty free?

Hi Ali,
Those are Duty Free shops but you can't purchase Cigarettes, Tobacco and Alcohol from them when travelling within the EC. You can pick them up but when you go to the till to pay you have to produce your boarding pass at which point the cashier (or if they miss the fact, then the computer) will refuse the transaction.
You are still allowed to buy things like Chocolates & Perfumes etc but not cigs and booze.

smokers
the closest tabac is in mazarron, take the mazarron norte exit off the rm23, follow the road in and its on the left hand side about the 3rd set of lights in, if you take this left you can get parked round the back in a nice lttle park.
lamberts are 32.50, they dont accept credit cards, but there are banks very close by, they do give you freebies if you spend a bit

You can buy cigarettes at the Duty Free at Alicante airport on your way home - have done so on a number of occasions. You will see two different stands for cigarettes. One is priced based on what you would pay in Spain at the usual Tabac and the others are cheaper as they do not include the Spanish tax on cigarettes.

If you are flying into Alicante and needs smokes before heading to CDA there is a kiosk over beside the car park which sells 200 pack cigs - not sure how much though!
