Aldea Advisors gone out of business

Hi folks

We completed on Condado in December 2008 and used Adea to complete.  We still have no deeds (we dont have a mortgage) they sent us a copy via email and said the originals would be sent 3 - 4 months after.

Has anyone any ideas on where they might be, i have contacted the administration company and they say i have to register with them (200 euros) if i want any information from them or any outstanding documents.

Can anyone help?

I think you might find the "administration company" wanting 200 Euros are just another firm of lawyers looking for clients. They must have got Aldea clients' details from somewhere - they contacted me via an email address I have not used for two and a half years. Since Aldea ceased trading I think I have had contact from 4 or 5 firms. The reason? They too are short of work in the housing downturn. I am not greatly out of pocket as a result of Aldea's failure, and I think I will try to do what I can myself at this stage.

We're in the same situation as yourselves.  We're going to Spain tomorrow for the week so hoped to sort something out while there. We phoned Aldea in Cartagena to find out how to get our deeds and the lady who answered told us just to telephone the day before we arrived and she would arrange to be in the office to give them to us.

Hopefully this will be the case.

Will be over 23rd oct,so I think I will follow your advice and phone to collect paperwork, would not be happy to have to pay another lawyer to do something I can do myself

Would appriciate it if you could keep me informen how you get on next week

Had contact a week ago but can't get any reply. . spoke to Maria Jose a week ago and by end of day e mail to say she had left company.

The company Aldea Asesores has been declared into Insolvency Proceedings by Alicante number 1 Commerce Court.
Process number 759/2009-J.
In the past days you have received a notification from Court Insolvency Administrators.
We have requested their authorisation to send you this e-mail to give a more extended explanation.
Attached you will find a report explaining in detail what the insolvency proceeding means.
The company Aldea Asesores are still working as normal and are open to the public carrying out all types of services for clients adding more security because all actuations are done under the Insolvency Administrators supervision.
Now you must send a letter to Alicante number 1 Commerce Court (Process number 759/2009-J / Concurso Voluntario de Acreedores) to the following address: Calle Pardo Gimeno, nº 43, 03007 – Alicante, in order to lodge your claim and fix your credit.

We  completed in November 2008 and we to do not have a motgage we did not use aldea, however I have all the paperwork to show all the payments but still we have not deeds. Polaris uinformed us that we get them once they have come of builders electric and all sevices are connected, is this true, they are also holding  our spare key for us for free currently until the electric comes on by meter.

we are out in November does anyone alse have the same situation.?

Nickv - go down to the Polaris offices in Balsicas and hold someone by the neck until they hand the deeds over - that's what I'd do anyway !

Also completed in Nov 08 and do not have a mortgage. Our solicitor chased up on our deeds and a friend picked them up for us in September this year (cos he has a place near Torrevieja where the solicitor is & it saved us a journey). We didn't have to wait for utilities to be connected.

We followed up with the solicitor in May this year when they gave us a refund on our completion fees and they told us we could pick the deeds up any time or they would hold them for us. Not sure throttling PW will help..... unless it'll make you feel better.

Whilst there are a number of people at Polaris World that I would happerly chip in for you to strangle, they are not involved in the deed process.

All the paperwork you signed at completion would have been sent for by the Notary to the land registry for processing, when done which take around 3 months it should then have gone back to the Notary for your solicitor to collect.  So give you solicitor a ring, assuming you had one! otherwise you will have to contact the notary to arrange collection.

Don' t expect any money back now but desperate to get our deeds. Anyone suggest the next step?
