Just wanted to ask which Bank people are using for their banking in Spain and also which Company you will be using to transfer funds from the UK.

Does free banking exist in Spain for UK residents?

I'll be going with Halifax. They have 'free' banking if your balance is kept at €600. They have a branch in Guadamar with english speaking staff.  As far as I know they do not charge for sterling transfers sent from a UK or Irish Halifax branch either.
