Just contemplating purchasing a 3 bed semi detached property at Jumilla Golf sourced through an organisation by the name of 'Smart Investors' . We have been informed that completion is due for late 2008. However, having read several comments relating to delays in respect of current builds, we are now wondering how likely it is that this phase will run to plan.
We would be interested to hear from anyone who has, or knows of anyone who has, purchased on this development through this organisation.

Hello We believe the development reference is R19 - don't know if that's any help. We have been told this design, which is called 'Malva', is being build solely for this company.

Ah yes now you come to mention it the Malva is being built solely for this company
I have come across this previously
R19 will be fase 2 I think it borders R17 & R20 which are due completion early 2008 hope that helps

Linda is correct, the Malva has been released under the sole contract for Smart Investors. We ahve a copy of the floor plans and they look quite nice. Unfortunately for us, this offer hasn't extended to the 'mass' therefore few people know about either the property or the company offering. I would be very interested to hear more though.
Late 2008 / early 2009 seems logical as well, if you want to move sooner however, there are still 1 or 2 properties available in Phase 1 but if you're in no hurry, at least you'll have a fairly unique home !!!!!

Thanks for the info folks.
However, we would like to get an idea as to how much behind schedule Phase 1 is running. Our understanding is that the whole complex is being built by the same builder. If that is correct then surely there will be a 'knock-on' effect. March 2009 would make it around a 3-month delay - not bad, but having read the comments in the other 'thread' we are wondering if 3 months could turn in to 9 or even 12.
We would be interested to hear from anyone who purchased in Phase 1 how close to schedule their property was completed.

Mountie, We have a contract dated for completion March 07, and they still have not started to build, we are expecting a 9 month delay, this has been largely caused bby the builder not being able to secure the building licence to his time scale. With regards to anyone with a contract in 09, the builder will be able to reduce the delay significantly by extending the hhours of building and employ more men to reduce the backlog, so them quoting only a 3 month delay seems reasonable, it will be the very first people with contracts dated to the middle of 07 which will be affected the most. Does that mean that the builder has now got all the permissions he needs for the whole build, i.e. the entire complex? Or does he have to get permission phase by phase?

Mountie, the builder has got permission to build the first 2285 properties, they will have to get further permissions as the build progresses but this is not unusual.

I have an Azucena in R10 which is due for completion in January 08 and so far have been told that there should be no delays with it.
I think that the main delys will be with the properties that were promised earlier completion dates like Auntie Linda & Dave, the others later in the year seem to be OK (at the moment). Having said that no-one knows for sure as we are all waiting on SJ to confirm dates.

We have bought on Phase 1 - R-15. Our completion date on our contract is October 2007. Last time we visited in October, we were told everything is likely to be about 6months behind I think, but I'm going to wait and see! I'm glad we've bought as an investment though - I'd had to have to co-ordinate selling in England and moving out to Spain!

I have an azucena on R10 no 518 and I was told last week by San Jose that the completion date would be June 2008, but you are in same phase as me and you have completion date of January 2008 - when were you told it would be January 2008?

I've always had the January 08 date. Its been on my contract since the beginning. Looking at the posts from some others who are also on R10 it seems that there are dates from December 07 right through to somewhere towards the end of 08 for completion and they dont seem to follow any logical path...
Some of the lower house numbers have dates after mine, so I cant even get that to tie up. My Azucena is in the back part of R10 so I would have assumed that it would be finished towards the end of that block if they start to build from the golf course backwards, but even then that doesnt tie up.

Visited the site last week - in the pouring rain! Holes dug out but no concrete foundations as yet. We were told preparatory work had commenced on the golf course and that it's completion is due to coincide with that of phase 1. Date given to us December 2008 + possible 3-months.
Would be interested to hear from any other forum member who has purchased on R19.
