carnival

Hi

 anyone know the date of the carnival in San Juan we were told it is in August but cant remember the dates our freinds next door told us it was very busy with Spanish & english  BQ on the beach and stalls along the prom sounds like good fun.

The Festival of San Juan is 23rd/24th June but we spend 6 weeks there in july/august (school holidays) and it is very busy then with both Brits and Spanish. Last summer there were lots of people having BBqs on the beach, free entertainment on the prom and stalls there too. There was also a firework display on 15th aug(Holy day) a medieval market and things going on at the castle at night. We are on phase 1 Calas del Pinar and there was a party organised by some of the spanish residents around the pool which is going to become an annual event where everyone brings food and drink and gets to know one another. It was a lovely atmosphere as the year before there were very few people there. Hope that helps, Lynn

We were there the last two years and it was 14th/15th August both years. Presume it is always the same time. We will be there again this year.
