ROOF TERRACE COVERS

HI

We are owners of a 1st floor apartment on Garden 3 Los Naranjos.

We have a young child and want to ensure that we have some form of cover when we come over next in May, otherwise it will be too hot on the roof terrace, we need some shade!

Can anyone recommend a place to buy one to fit ourselves, or a company who fit at reasonable cost.

Not keen on the bamboo ones, want something fabric really, perhaps with a pull string?

I know there were some quite cheap ones in Ikea last year, but they had sold out when we got there. Has anyone see any this year yet and if so how much and do you know the size?

Any advice/help would be much appreciated.

We are in Naranjos Garden 7 1st floor apt.

We have just purchased a canopy for the solarium to attach to the pergola.

Its from Ikea 24.99.  We got ours from Warrington but they are in stock now in all Ikeas throughout the country.  Just put in Dyning Canopy in the item on Ikea website, the size is  x 300 x 200 and it should fit perfectly.  It comes with cord and screws you just need to buy 6 hooks from any DIY place.

The item number is 601 25785

We have the Ikea canopy for our solarium and it is a simple and cheap option.

A word of warning though... You can still get burnt through it!!!       As I found out to my cost last year in July. It does offer shade and some protection but not completely.

We purchased a conopy from Paco Molina last year & we have been very pleased with the service he gave.

We aproached him late last year as he had come highly recommended. We asked if he could install while we were back in the UK in time for our holiday in March this year. He did so.

We insisted that he had a deposit & we didnt have to pay the remainder until we were back in March 

He does not speak english but has a young lady relative who does.

I know of at  least one family who called @ our apartment to have a look @ the shade & are also purchasing one from him
