Security

We have friends going over to our apartment (Jardines) whenever the fights are resumed.  Can anyone tell me if we have to contact Polaris Security to tell them?  If so how do I go about this.

I would be surprised if they have any issues.  When we arrived in a hire car we were just waved through and we made no contact with anyone to let them know the car licence etc.  In fact the whole 3 weeks we were there no one even asked us where we were staying. 

In saying that a guy who came out to look at an internet connection for us said he was asked for identifiaction and what he was doing.  But he was probably in a commercial vehicle.

We have always just been waved through also, but on one of the threads it was saying they were checking passports etc., and I just didn't want any embarrassing moments for our friends. 

Just for info how do you contact Polaris now?

 As long as your friends have the apartment number and your name they will be fine. That is all the security have ever asked us for. They just check their lists to match apartment numbers to owners names.

Just got back after 2 weeks and the security asked us nearly everytime for apartment number, name and then asked to see passport. So I would suggest they also carry passport.

Towards the end of the second week, they stopped asking so unsure if there was a change of staff or they got use to me and the car reg.

We've been out for nearly 2 weeks and the only time we've been stopped is when we went to a friends apartment in La Isla.
