We have family going out to use our apartment in a couple of weeks and wondered if there's anything new regarding the security and entering the resort.
We are aware that there is new security on Condado and wondered if you should let them know guests are coming or do they have to register at the gate. Has anything changed?

Hi Michael
Rob here from murcia golfing breaks. Basicly the security is different but still the same workforve just a different uniform. To be honest i think the voting came down to financial reasons. Nothing has really changes except the 1st night of company changeover i got stopped for my passport since then nothing the barriers still seem to be left open. Im not having a dig but i thought the new company were meant to bring in stricter regulations in my eyes its still the same.

Hi Mike and Dawn,
We have given a letter written in English and Spanish given the holder permission to use our apartment with our phone number and details of our key holder on for them to show at the gate in case there are any issues. (used babble fish for this)
regards
Mandy

Just returned from Condado and things have definitely changed!
You cannot get in without handing over a driving license or passport each time you are entering. Dread to think what the queues might be like for those of you who go to Condado during the busy summer months.
We had friends coming to visit and I advised security at 11.30am on the morning they were coming that they would arrive around 1.30pm. When my friends arrived they could not get in as they didn't have ID with them and were told that the owners they were visiting had not completed the relevant form to advise security that we were expecting visitors. My husband ended up having to drive down to the gate to vouch for our friends.

I'm sure there was a form on the old RPM site I've looked on the cdagr.eu site but can only find manuals about security and access -so probably searching in the wrong place. Have asked ptan and hopefully he can give a location.
We dont mind about new security measures as we were originally attracted to how Polaris originally sold Condado as a secure gated community- in fact several gated communities within the one resort.

I've recently raised the new entrance procedure with Ana from Milenium and she has stated that you need the details of the people entering the resort, their passport numbers, where they are staying, if they have a hire car and the duration of their stay. Security are supposed to be stopping everyone at the moment as the assembly requested, if the security or Milenium don't have the details they are not supposed to let anyone in.
I've never actually seen a form for guests. Is there one?
When I enquired about the new card system thats supposed to be getting introduced she went on to say that it can't be available until Polaris finish the electrical installations. For the moment they have not confirmed a date but once the installations are finished it wouldn't take so long to get the system set up.

All,
There was a form for visitors/renters, but this was never really used as RPM never made security enforce the rules. Rather than just publish the old form, which has RPM's details all over it, we will need a new one. We are talking to Securitas at the moment, for me a form is a bit outdated simply emailing the deatils would be far simplier. We will publish details on the website when this is all agreed, but for now if you are having visitors or renters coming email the following :-
Owners name:
Owners Apartment number:
Owners Contact number:
Visitor name:
Date of Visit:
For apartment rentals
Owners name:
Owners Apartment number:
Owners Email:
Owners Contact number:
Visitor name:
Date of arrival:
Date of departure
to security@cdagr.eu

Phil,
Is it worth adding any keyholder details to the list of info to provide? Just thinking that most keyholders will know if they are expecting visitors/rentals to the apartments they manage & they are generally close to hand for any arrivals so they would be a better point of contact for security should there be any problems.
Just a thought.
