Left Hand Drive Car

Hi  Can anyone help?  We are looking for a left hand drive car, not too expensive to leave at Murcia Airport instead of having to hire, I am really cheesed off with the prices they are now charging for hire cars.

However, does anyone have any experience of a decent place to buy anywhere in Costa Calida.  Have you had an experience from a particular garage etc that was good or bad?

Hi yes we bought a car a few years ago from a guy called paco at the garage in mazarron town, Its opposite the medical centre, I think its the kia garage although our car isnt a kia, its used but we have had no problems and it was fully iva'd (mot) and we return it for servicing yearly at a reasonable cost.  Used cars tend to be more expensive than uk but they are in better condition usually.  If you would like his number give us a message.

That's a very useful tip Barbara - many thanks - I'll check him out when I'm next at Condado. I've been thinking about this for a while now but, so far, haven't been able to spend enough time out there to justify it.

Can I ask you (and any others with experience) where do you keep the car when you're back in the UK (or elsewhere) and how much does it cost - if you don't mind me asking?

we leave ours at cda, as our friend who lives out there comes to the airport in our car to collect us and returns us using our car.  But you can get a yearly airport parking for about 250 to 300 euros per year and they will deliver to and collect car from airport when you arrive.

Purchased car from Specialst Vehicles in La Manga. Usually have back page add in local paper. Found them quite good but we second hand cars you never know. Reckon by end of this year will have paid, will have paid for itself instead of hiring cars.

Hi all.....I have an annual contract with Plane Parking at San Javier Airport and will also say they are a very professional company and I have never been let down, all the staff are very friendly and are always on hand to help, I had a problem with my car and while I was away they got it sorted, which was a huge relief as I would not have had a car when I came back to Spain.  Also what I find is really good is that I drive to them and then they take me to the airport and drop me right at departures so I do not have to try and find a carparking space at the airport (very hard to find in the summer)  and then have to find a trolly to get all my cases to checkin and when i arrive back to Spain they bring my car to arrivals, it is so stress free, especially when you have kids like me.  Hope this helps.....
