Hi,
after much soul searching, Pam and I completed the purchase of our villa in June this year. Like many people we struggled to get a financial package together and wondered if we would ever see the benefits of buying in Corvera. We used Roy Howitt to snag the property and that is one of the best decisions we have made. Roy has managed to get Corvera to rectify 95% of our snags so that our visit in October went very smoothly.
We used Roys friend John, to ship our furniture from the UK. I helped John load up his 17m3 van and handed over the fees and then realised as he drove off that I only had an email address for him. Thankfully he delivered everything as planned with no scratches, dents or broken crockery. We are very grateful to him too.
On October 15th we arrived, Pam, Luke (4), Ryan (1) and I. To my relief, the heating and aircon were working, we had water and power and we unpacked our stuff and began to enjoy Corvera. Like everyone I was worried that the resort would go under but I have to say we met/saw lots of people playing golf and there were plenty of cars on site. The golf course is in reasonable condition and there are people maintaining it. We visited the new airport and it is clear that it will happen . We came away very relieved and whilst there is still along way to go (I doubt the resort will ever have all the facilities promised) I believe we will be enjoying Corvera for many years to come.
I realise that many people will not complete for a variety of reasons and I haven't in my own mind worked out a solution for them that is acceptable to all parties. I have not been impressed with the staff at Corvera, either during the purchase, or a after it and their attitude is bound to upset people (me included).
Anyhow, just wanted to share part of our experience with you.
