al kasar

 hi all , we were over in october and again in january , and spent every night in camposol as it has pubs restuarants ,bowling ,internet,chipie chinese indian ,we spent a fortune on taxis in and out , why dosent someone take over the units in the al kasar and make a fortune , as im sure everyone staying in condado would go to the al kasar instead of camposol , aiso it would make owners visit condado more , any ideas ?

Don't know much about it but think PW not agreeable to leasing other units in Al Kasar for some reason.  It would be the ideal solution to have a choice of restaurants, shops, and bars on the doorstep and save all that motoring in the evenings to Camposoll.   Not enough people on Condado during the winter months though to support many more outlets, they would not survive.  Maybe things will change in the next couple of years, but for now we have to put up with the lack of facilites and make the most of it.  Unless PW lift their ban, there's not much hope for any improvement on facilities anytime soon.

Heading over to my brothers apartment at CDA in about a month for a long weeked for some golf with my Dad and Brother.  Just wondering if there is any news on when the restaurant is going to open again?  I read on another thread that the Clover is doing food is that still the case? and is it available all day and every day?  what kind of menu do they offer?

also does anyone know when the supermarket opens and closes?

only coming over for 3 nights/4 days so dont really want to be going far from CDA .  We have all been over a few tikes beofre so know about camposol.

Hi Neil me and my bro were over earlier in Jan for a few days and all the bar was offering food wise was toasties!

 Neil76 The supermarket opens 9am - 8pm Closes 2pm Sundays and BH's.

The Bar only offers very little food at the moment and does not Open till 4pm (I think you can ignore the Bar for food)

The Restaurant is supposed to re-open Easter till End August??

If you don't want to leave resort your best bet is to stock up supplies from Supermarket and eat in?

I could be wrong but I think the opening of the restaurant was for Easter only - then to open up again some time in summer.

Would be typically short sighted of Polaris if they dont keep the restuarant open after Easter

With the extra bank holiday for the Royal Wedding and then the bank holiday weeks in May, I would expect Condado to be fairly busy right into the peak summer months.

How do they expect to get the numbers in even when CdA gets busier if through the rest of the year people are finding nice restaurants in the local area to eat out.

If you have a car (and a sober driver) I would expect a lot of people would continue to eat outside CdA even if the restaurant opens.

On top of that I understand many of the places in Campasol are doing delivery to CdA now which won't help the restaurant.

My brother was over in October and they got food in the small room in the restaurant thats through the new doorway they made in the Clover.  Menu was limited but coudl still have a main meal rather than just a snack.  Is this not even available anymore?

 Nope, the only thing available in the clover now are overpriced and mostly inedible paninies at €6 each

At least we have 5 - star prices.  Won't be long now..............

If you google Camposol you will find a site that has details of the various eateries  there. There are several that have websites that advertise food deliveries- in fact I think the supermarket does as well- or is that Lidl?

Cant remember the name of the restaurant but we had a couple of really nice indian take aways delivered from Campasol when we were there last time.  I'm pretty sure there was a chinese who delivered too.  It's worth driving over there and getting the menus and then it's just a phone call for delicious food to come to your door!
