Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good builder that can put up a fence for us at Roda, legally?

Also, anyone know what is being built by the old sales office & mini market?

hi , i believe they are building a gym due to open in april .

Do we still have a mini market onsite or has it closed?

The minimarket is still open.  The old sales and administration offices are currently being converted into a gym.

The only builder I know of is Paul from Baxters Spain. He did our new staircase and did an excellent job. He is very helpfull and I have no hesitation in recommending him. if you need nay further information, send me a private message.

dont wish to sound sceptical about a new facality on site ... but its hardly going to be a fully equipped gym in a room of that size .. or is the building been extended ?

The Mini Mart is still open but presently generally only at weekends until more flights arrive in Murcia

The rumoured gym seems to be going ahead and yes they are presently extending the old clubhouse.

The facility will, it appears, be run by an outside agent, not Roda, and at present there are few details about what facilities and at what cost will be on offer. No opening dates available either.

Currently some owners are using the spa and gym at Punta Calera straight past Fitzers as well as the pool and steam rooms at

La Serena Hotel

PS as this thread was about builders, I concur Paul has a very good reputation at Roda

 Once again, I stand corrected

The good news is the minimarket at Roda is now open every day not just at weekends.  At present they are open from 10 - 5 but this will change to 10 - 6 from this Sunday after the clocks go forward and then the hours will be extended further into the year..

This is all good news and looks like we are a tiny step further to becoming a 5 star resort with facilities.  I am looking forward to my mini trip out to Roda next week so will make sure I inspect progress!
