CdA - Right now

Hi all

We too have noticed  the furniture all gone from outside the Clover Bar - is this because Polaris no longer own a thing on Condado - the banks own the lot now, according to residents on site.

Going back out 13 Jun - will try to find out what is going on.  Prehaps this has been mentioned at the recent AGM?

The football pitch is a disgrace, its overgrown with weeds and as for the sports club.

We all need to get in touch with our Presidents and try  see if they can get some answers.

Condado could be such a great place, lets face it that's why we bought into it !

My Son & friends aim to go over to our apartment shortly & as they all play football locally were keen to play whilst over .

With the mention that the pitch is a disgrace I am wodering if there will be enough to ocupy them on site  Dan is thirty & is friends are roughly the same age They do not want to hire a car so I am questioning if they should forget the idea & go somewhere else.

My son does play golf & will be taking his clubs but I am not sure about his friends

I used to be a deffinate member of the Half full glass group but unfortunatly those little sips will mean that I am getting nearer to the Half empty brigade.

Pity, as both Ham & I love it but if there is little to appeal to either of my sons , friends & family now I am gradually becoming more & more disheartened

Jan what are you doing???  You have just said you love the place but just because of a few posts and the AGM you are turning to the negative crew!!!  My 18 year old thinks its boring and always has done well that fine by me because I don't want him and his mates ruining my peace and quiet....

I attended the very first AGM and stuck it out for 4 hours before finally giving in, it was a shambles then and it doesn't sound much better now but it has not changed the way I feel about the place, frustrating yes but hey ho I still can't wait to go any time I can.

Last time I was there one of the pitches was a disgrace but the community presidents got the gardeners to mow the grass on the other pitch and people were playing on it.

Come on girl don't desert us!!

Alright,. i was on a bit of a downer. having to work today hasnt helped, but as Ham is working too I supose I should not moan

You have  convinced me that I had made a rash choice & am firmly back on track & deffinatly part of the Half full crew again

Realising that we will be over late June & wishing my life away until then I have to say that it was rather rash of me to switch sides so to speak.

I know that Ham really loves Condado too. So cheer up jackie. I`m back.

Just back from Condado and would like to make a few observations.

DOG POO all over the place - DISGUSTING.

Clover did have seating outside just not as much. Would imagine this will change in the summer.

Golf course was shut but managed a round at Campasol and La Serena.

Looked to me that one football pitch is good to go.

It was my best holiday yet just want to see the resort kept better. I still can't believe the amount of dog poo. I twice had to remove it from inside the fence on garden 13.

Went to La Caverna for the first time and was impressed. When I played golf with my mate our partners went to the Spa at Sensol Hotel. 90 Euros package which included 3 course meal in restaurant afterwards. We joined them and had a fab meal.

Went to the Port on saturday night and I have to say the bars are fantastic and it was absolutely rammed. Lots of bars and trust as a 31 year old man who has experienced many lads holidays this place is right up there.

If anyone has sons and daughters after this type of thing Ihighly recommend it.

Although he & his friends do not intend to hire a car & they never drink & drive (Dan saw enough evidence of what heppends when he became involved in the fundraising for the air ambulance) a taxi woud not be a problem

I'm off to email Mileniun.  I will be mentioning in my post both the observations by a fellow owner about the dog mess and asking about the removal of some of the seating area.  They are usually very prompt and polite in their responses so, if any other owners are as concerned as I am then please, please send a quick email to them.  I am not suggesting a mad rant, however, as the Spanish will always just ignore you if you go off on one!!  (I save my mad rants for this forum ).  The email address is infocondado@mileniun-levante.es .

We asked if they could put more seats outside at the Clover when we were over last week and were told they'd be put out in June as it's not warm enough yet - was plenty warm enough for me!

I went to see ML direct as was that disgusted.

According to the lady I spoke to they are aware of the problem.

Trust me it is all over the place and needs to be addressed.

Would on-the-spot fines of €100 work? Owners who either let their pets run free or do not pick up the mess work would surely make more of an effort then.  Responsible owners wouldn't be worried about this as they care for their pets.  The other incosiderate b******* would be the ones getting hit in the pocket though.

I have just sent a friendly email re this issue & have also mentioned that we often see dogs with their owners but off their leads( the dogs not the owners)

I saw 3 dogs off the leads and several cats kicking about.

One footy pitch looks good to play on.
