driving range closed !!

I have never read such nonsense for a long time.....

The sign says  'Do not use range balls for chipping practice'...I have seen the sign, don't own on CDA but adhere  to the rule when using the facility, just like most people I find some rules not very understandable but a rule is for obeying or don't use the facility, whatever it might be.

I actually do understand this rule as does someone before me, range balls are collected by machine and therefore would have to be collected by hand from this area, the management of the course don't want to do that... end of story play by the rules!!

Spot on Fighter2. For crying out loud, what is the issue of using your own balls on the short game. Just stick to the rules, and get on with it! No more on this.........please!

However, not once have i said i hit range balls on the short game area.  i have said " i dont see what the issue is in using practice balls on the practice game area"  I also said i havent been over for a while, and i dont ever remember seeing a sign to say "no range balls to be hit on the short game area"

Personally thought,  Ola charge enough for a Round of golf,  to play a course that great, but its only a course still, its not a club, and wont be for a long time.  I think bigger things need to be addressed before you get on your high horse about the use of practice balls on a practice area.  One minute the balls are getting nicked, then that gets sorted,  next just because i have said "i dont see what the issues is etc etc... "  you seem to think i am being ignorant because i have said i dont see what the issue is.. 

Well i'll tell you what i am over for 2 weeks from 3rd Sept, you can tell me to my face what your thoughts are then.  You seem very good at giving out advice. Its very easy when your sitting behind a desk doing it though.

You will find me on the range at somepoint,  feel free to come over and spend a few hours on the range with me and we can have a chat. You  cant miss me.
