Owners E-mail Database

Hi All,

Those who attended the EGM last week will be aware that we currently have our hands tied with the administrator and the developer/banks running our community.  I have been thinking a lot about this over the last week and the main reason we are having these problems is that we just don't have enough votes to get anything passed at these meetings.

I would like to set up an owners database of e-mail addresses, that way we could keep all owners up to date with events.  I know that most owners are not aware of everything that is going on in this community (I know I wasn't until I went to the AGM this year) and I think that the more owners who know what is going on, the more that we can band together and get things changed.

Does anyone have any views on this?

Just come up with another idea.  I could set up a DV Facebook page.  Private page and you can only join if you are an owner?

May be a better idea.....

The data base for owners is a fantastic idea. I am a bit of an old crock about facebook but it does seem a very up to date way of  keeping in the loop. If you want me to pass the word to anybody I  am in touch with i will go ahead and get them linked with you.

I have set the site up.  I thought it would be better than me holding eveyone's e-mail addresses.  I have posted the report on the accounts and my notes from the meeting along with some other correspondance from the committee.

I would like to be included on your database, great idea. My e mail address is apartment 13 50 02. Also I see some folks get mail, we do not have a post box or letter box, where would post go in such a case?

I was at the last EGM, my first time, very interesting, I would encourage anyone esle who can to attend future meetings to fully appreciate the problems that are raised and the good work done by the Village representatives. Thanks to them all.
