Signing Deeds - Block 5

Hi all,

Just back from the site and block 5 still looks like there is an awful lot to do before being ready for completion.  Palmera Properties tell me that the builders informed them that the completion date is the end of April but I really cannot see that being achieved. Has anyone made arrangements of a date for signing the deeds for apartments in Block 5?

Off the point, I also took a trip to Carrefor in Torrevieja, they have alot of great stuff at cheap prices. There was a two piece a/c unit for approx 320e including installation. Unless I hear of somewhere significantly cheaper I will me making that my one stop shop for appliances and homewear!!

I have just received an email from Palmera giving me a date of 12th April for completion.

I don't think they have a clue

I really do think that they are trying to get buyers to complete before the block is ready. There is no chance that the block is going to be ready for that date or, in my opinion, any date in april. I will give the builders a ring today for futher info.

Personally, i cannot understand why anyone would want to complete until all 5 blocks are complete. The idea of spending time in the development while they are still working on one of the other blocks sounds like one of those holidays in hell that you read about

i gotta agree with you there joe. thats why i am happy that block 5 will probably be the last one to be completed although the blocks directly across from blocks 4/5 are only being started. I'm thinking about may 31 as a signing date??? anyone got any other dates in their heads? it is either the last week in may for me or else early july and I don't know if i could drag it out that long.

I'm completing on June 1st. I've been told by Patricia from Palacious Mar that the apartment will be habitable and with the furniture in by that date. The hab certificate will almost certainly be not given at this stage and while it is my understand that you do not need to complete until it has been given, I am going to go ahead and complete none the less. It is my understanding from other forums that utilities do not have to be paid  (ie you remain on builders supply) until this cert is given although I am open to correction on this.

Patricia is very good at giving completion dates but take them with a pinch of salt. She told me that my apartment would be completed  on Feb 28 (this was when i was stood in front of her on jan 27)  The apartment was nowhere near ready but alot further advanced than block 5 is now. I  completed last week.

I hope she is correct about your completion date. Good luck
