Golf buggies

You are absolutely correct that all vehicles used on the road should be legally registered, insured and are subject to police check within Condado. This was brought about due to a small number of vehicles which were coursing concern.  So now any vehicle used on the roads inside Condado are subject to the same rules as if they are used on the roads outside our community, which is safer for all of us.

As far as Golf Buggies are concerned you are also correct that I belive Global Golf have stated that the only buggies allowed on the course are theirs, which they inform are also insured for use on the internal roads in Condado.

As far as using privately owned buggies is concerned I am not sure of the official line, if no existing rule exists this would I suggest have to be considered by the Presidents taking account of the opinions of our owners and the impact such vehicles would have on our community particularly in relation to safety.

As far as use within gardens is concerned my personal opinion is they should not be used within the gardens.

If anyone has a personal view on this issue they should make their President aware of it.

Good to hear they are insured on the road. We had 2 having a race in our garden which caused me to enquire as to the rules of use. I am sure that 99% of golfers would be sensible in the use of buggies and I understand if there is a need to collect clubs from apartment. It is just that these buggies drove across grass at speed.  So if a buggy collided with a car Olagolf would cover all repairs?

Any vehicle correctly registerred.  insured and driven by a holder of a licence for that vehicle class should be allowed to be used on Condado. and those that are not should be towed off. . Residents over a certain age should have a medical certificate even driving on a licence from their home country or they may find their insurance is void and passengers injured in an accident may not get any compensation.  There are lots of issues with vehicles and drivers and many arguments made.

My mother in law is 86 and enjoys going around garden, seeing golf buggies racing makes her anxious , seeing teenagers or adults playing ball games and kicking the ball hard , cycles driven at speed in the garden frighten her as well so she will only go in a wheel chair now, but as I am told when i say something "we are on holiday" .

WE will now get replies about getting the football pitches in a state where people can use them instead of playing in a garden . How many can of worms can be opened?

There are so many good things about being on here that we have to live with the problems like any where else.

ML, Inform us football pitches will be ready for use sometime this week.

If you see Golf Buggies being driven in an erratic manner you should note the number of the buggy (as they all have one) and the date, location and time it happened and report it to Security immediately and later to Global Golf and Mileniun.

In my opinion Golf Buggies should not be in gardens with the possible exception of disability needs.

If anyone is conducting themselves inappropriately, I would recommend informing Security at the time of the incident so they can deal with it and later inform Mileniun so they can ensure appropriate action was taken. I would not recommend direct action as you don’t know how others will react.

I agree we have so many good things to appreciate about our community  and with a little consideration by all we would have nothing to complain about but unfortunately sometimes peoples exuberance takes over from common sense.
