It was posted on FB that the buggies were taken to the other golf resorts run by the managing company- have we too many or have they got upcoming tournaments that may need more buggies? Dont know the real reason..
Has no-one been over in the last week or so- just wondering what the clubhouse and surroundings now look like?

Hi Barry, could you post some updated pictures of the clubhouse progress & surrounding areas on the society website please, when you get chance. Haven't seen any recent ones for a while & they must be getting well in with it by now
Cheers
Nick

Thanks Baz,
Great update that.......sorry to update your Presidents Day work, but I am sure your efforts were much appreciated by many. Good news from Phil regarding the bar inside it too.
Are the lakes on the course still very low..? What is the word on why this is the case. Do we have any word on when they might return to a resonable level...?
Keep in touch on the clubhouse
Thanks again - much appreciated
Nick

Thanks for the pictures- my thoughts are that it all looks good and better then most people wil have expected. Reading that there's to be a bar and bar food so that little hurdle has been managed too.. Hopefully the finished job with plantings etc will calm the concerns of those who've been pessimistic about the project. In the current climate I genuinely think we've been lucky to get this done.
Also hope we see an upsurge in use of the course and that some tournaments can go ahead and bring in much needed revenue. We are definitely going to be revamping the web page for our apartments in the hope of bringing in regular golf break clients.
Happy to see that there's lots of good news coming out of CdA at the moment.

I'm surprised (happily) that its not only the clubhouse but some surrounding work...car park, buggy path.
Are the pro-shop and the buggies going to relocate to the course, anyone know?

Good to hear.
And I agree it would be stupid, but we have had a top class golf course with a proshop 500m away and no clubhouse for what, 4 years, so I'm past the point of relying on sensible decisions!!

Yes Shane
The golf shop will move lock, stock and barrel to the temporary clubhouse.
The golf society will retain its base in the Clover - Neil has kindly given us the cocktail bar area for trophies, honours boards photos and a notice board. The last news on the clubhouse was that it would close when the shop staff went home. Don't know if the new franchisee of the bar will be happy with that arrangement.
The buggies will relocate to the buggy shed and there will then be 2 more units available in Al Kasar.
What will the current golf shop be used for? It has showers and a changing room - so maybe a fitness club? Have talked to one person interested in opening such a venture.
Barry
