Visited on the 20th, seemed to be busy although it was a bank holiday on the Monday (fathers day). The showroom staff said the owners should be receiving a letter in the next 4 weeks with more definite completion dates. Whilst there i enquired about the television connection for uk television does anyone know if it will be available, and the best way (and company) to go through.

Hi
If you look on the Santa Ana del Monte Owners Forum (www.santaanadelmonte.co.uk) and look under Commercial Interests, there is a company called YPM Satellite Services, who have been looking at providing UK TV. Sounds promising, though apparently the signal for BBC2 won't be that good, which is a pain.

Jenno,
I read in a previous thread that Great Auntie linda is getting UK TV arranged through her agents Amabsun. I recall it was about 600 euros installation and 19 euros per month. I am out next month and I will be talking to Ambasun about this. If its the same as mine at my present property then it will be great. we get all terrestial tv, 2 movie channels, 3 sport channels and radio including radio 2.

I share a house with one of the guys that works for YPM. I know they visited SADM yesterday and are doing more site surveys. They should be able to do installs no problem now (I know there was a problem with wiring).
We have the 1.8m dish at our house and have no problems with any channels unless there is a storm. I know BBC2 does cause some problems for some people though.

HI All
Yes I have paid for my Sat TV installation with Ambasun it is a company in the Cabo Roig area who are hoping to fit mesh dishes it may even v
be the same company already talked about
I do know the 19 euros buys sky sportspackage, all freeview channelsand some of the basic sky channels. at 228 euros per year it is cheaper than having a licence in the UK which you don't need in Spain

Hi All
John and I will be visiting Jumilla in May. We have booked our flights and are hoping to book the Hotel Pio XII in Jumilla for 3 nights (May 7 - 9), however we tried sending a fax to the number we found on the internet, and it didn't work. I then found an email address via Google, however my email bounced back! Does anybody have details for this hotel - ideally somebody who has stayed there so they can tell us how they booked their room?
Many thanks.
Sue
PS If you have any questions for when we go to Santa Ana, just let me know.

We are to visit the site in June and have book to stay with Linda Needham. Who live only minute from the site. From the message boards you can see other people have stayed with Linda and she seems to have a great deal of local knowledge.
Cheers Kevin

Hi Kevin
Thanks for your reply - our problem is that we don't drive and Linda lives out of town, which is why we are planning to stay in Jumilla. Maybe we can rent bikes?!

Hi Sue. Pity you do not drive because Hotel Casa Luzon just outside Jumilla is brilliant. Try phoning Hotel Pio on 00 34 968 78 01 32 but having stayed there and at Hotel Monreal they would not be Hotels that I would rush back to!! Hope you enjoy your visit . Cheers

Hi
Thanks for your feedback. We will try and book the Hotel Pio XII, as the reviews seem to be marginally better and we will only be there for a couple of nights! Anybody know anything about the hotels in Yecla? We are planning another visit in September and had hoped that we might be able to rent somewhere on Santa Ana del Monte, but that doesn't look likely now!!!

A bike would be good it's all downhill into Jumilla Ha! Ha! Ha!
Sue & John would need plenty of wine and they wouldn't even notice it was uphill back to base

Hi
We could cope with plenty of wine - sounds good to me! We know there is a regular bus service between Yecla and Jumilla, as we spent a week in Jumilla and got the bus to Yecla, as well as to Murcia. We wanted to know we could get around by public transport before deciding to buy in Santa Ana del Monte. We may buy bikes when we eventually move to SADM, though John is talking about buying a horse!!!
Thanks, Linda, we will contact Dean.
Sue
PS I should sign off as GAS, as I am also a Great Aunt (twice over!)
