Maybe we are not quite understanding each other...call us Phil and ML! And I would suggest we actually agree on what we should be getting.
What I am saying is that anybody who issued such a letter would lose my trust...my opinion of their competency as to what they did day to day may not change. Its not a matter of them supporting their claims...its the fact they wrote and distributed a letter of that nature.
My opinion differs from yours in that you seem to think there could be justification from ML's side. My view is that there is no justification for that letter from a company employed to act as a professional administrator.
Actually I've made up my mind without hearing evidence from either side...could save the court system millions with jurors like me!!
But I am not saying which party was wrong...just I don't trust one of them.

Ah there is none so blind as those who don't want to see......!!!
I have read on this forum that the resort has improved drastically recently and I totally agree and how well the resport looks, the gardens etc and again have to agree the gardeners have done a fantastic job. Yes the gardeners not ML and that is what they are contracted to do
I manage serveral facilities in different locations in the UK but if I get one of my units decorated to a really nice standard for instance and people are really pleased with the standard of work, that is not down to me as the 'administrator' it is down to the decorator that did the job all I do is send the tradespersons to do the work and it doesn't take a genious to do that!!! My point is I don't expect to get the praise for arranging something I am duty bound to do!!
And guess what I also have to produce audited accounts on an annual basis and report on a monthly basis to my management committee of all expenditure and if I didn't produce the accounts or send out unrattified minutes written in the most childlike and unprofessional manner than those circulated recently then I would be facing disciplinary matters.
Produce the accounts as requested and if there are no issues this all dies a death, perhaps the same president/vice president that asked for the circulation of the calculation of the community fees could get the accounts circulated just as fast?? mmmm!!
Everything else is just a smoke screen from the real issues!

Why doesn't everyone simply e-mail their president and ask them to tell the administrators to provide budget and spending numbers fpr communication to owners. We should be asking our presidents to ensure this is provided as this is surely the channel of communication we should be using?

Section 20 of the HPA states:
The duties of the administrator shall be
a) to ensure the proper management of the house, its installations and services, and to advise and admonish unit owners to that effect;
b) to prepare the budget of expenditures with sufficient anticipation and to submit it to the general assembly, proposing ways to cover the expenses;
c) to see to the upkeep and maintenance of the property, arranging for urgent repairs and measures, and to report promptly to the president or, where appropriate, to the unit owners;
d) to carry out the resolutions adopted regarding maintenance work and to make and receive payments as appropriate;
e) to act, where applicable, as secretary to the general assembly and to keep custody of community documents available for perusal by the unit owners; and
f) any other function conferred by the general assembly.

You may have to give them reasonable notice (couple of days?) as the docs. may, physically, be stored 'off site'. If they refuse your request then ask for the complaints book (they are a service provider). If they remain uncooperative, denounce them to the local (Alhama) police and/or the Court at Totana.
