Just returned home from there yesterday, some roads blocked by water but Condado is ok!!

Golf course is closed today, some damage where the water has run off

Some of the roads near Villas Jana covered in mud but properties look ok

We nearly got swept away on the RM2 near Paramount site. Huge torrent swept across the road and was up to ankle deep. Had to reverse back up the motorway and off at the slip road. Very scary, like a tsunami. All minor roads had also turned into rivers so we had to detour back towards A30 and then take the toll road to mazarron. AP7 has also partly collapsed near Lorca

Mazarron now has a river running through it near the roundabout/bridge towards Bolnuevo. Has to be seen to be believed, cant work out where the water will reach the sea but there will be some damage in its path

All the puddles have mostly gone away now, a few apartments had water come under the door but that's quickly wiped up.  ( your key holder should check ).  The biggest casulty was the golf course and the  club house that leaked like a sieve yesterday which tripped the electric so the bar had to close :-(.   The club house is open again today but the range is ( officially closed ) as the electric to the ball machine if off.  A few people are collecting the balls of the range themselves and reusing them which the staff don't seem to mind. The course is closed today and tomorrow to clear all the water and the mud off the course.

Things could be a lot worse, the bridge between Camosol B & C, across the river to the club house, was washed away yesterday and I'm told it looks like it will may need rebuilding, will pop down tomorrow to take a look myself.

 I think Condado got off pretty lightly, no damage to any of the apartments I keyhold for. the Driving range at one stage looked like a new lake had been added to the resort, and there was some flooding on the inner ring road ajaccent to the rear entrance gate.

Are the golf course lakes & La Isla full again then ?

So the two bridges that have collapsed on the Motorways are on the A7 between Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras (KM 584 at Rambla de Béjar) and the AP-7 toll-road between Aguilas and Vera at Km 892 by the Rambla de Canalejas near Pulpi (i.e. near Aguilon Golf). Travel on these routes to be disrupted for 3 months by the sounds of it.

We played Aguilon Golf Course yesterday, it was in pristine condition apart froma rock fall on Green 2 the motorway going south closes at the exit for Pulpi so getting to the Golf Course via that route is uniterrupted.

It was interesting to see how our
resort faced up to the rain and today we find ourselves back to normal with 
lovely weather and people at the pools.

 

Please read and copy to EOS and other sites to put peoples minds at rest that CDA is OK ..... we are trying to get round as quickly as possible checking apartments but we still have other work ( arrivals & departure cleans ) along with catching up on laundry which we could not dry. There is too much scaremongering about damage to CDA and its slowing us down with phone calls and emails etc.... appreciate your help on this.

 Haven't seen any "scaremongering" ?  

From what I've seen everyone has been positive, very little damage to properties on CDA and most keyholders had all the properties checked by Saturday.

Perhaps we read the wrong blogs?

Who is scaremongering like, what a load of tosh.
