Hi Everyone
We have just returned from a lovely week in DV but were unable to sit on our terrace because of the noise made by a dog barking in Bloque 8, portal 27. The dog was left on the terrace and barked constantly. The noice was so loud that we had to keep the terrace doors closed and could still hear the barking. Has anyone spoken to the owners or AEA about this? We have a dog ourselves but don't take her over to Spain and wouldn't leave her to bark and annoy other people. DV is usually a very quiet and pleasant place but this noice was horrible and went on for hours at a time. The dog seems to be left on the terrace barking even when the owners are in.
Whilst sitting by the pool, we were also surprised to see a family walk into the pool area with a dog and let it roam around on the grass. It looks like we need new signs by the pool that dogs are not allowed in that area. At one time all dogs were supposed to be kept on a lead in the village we were told but now they seem to be able to roam anywhere with mess not picked up.

I live in bloque 7 and i wondered where the barking came from.
As I am in the village next week and only a few stairs from the pesky bark dog I've been doing some checking.
Whilst denuncia is the official route it does require several (3 i think) to complain
there is a form that can be used

A good thread on EOS on this subject of barking dogs here

I was thinking of getting the ultrasonic ant-barking device like this one here
http://www.primrose.co.uk/-p-39824.html?adtype=pla&kwd=&gclid=CN2966vr6rMCFcbLtAodPGUA8g]
For less the £10 its seems excellent value to get some peace but it only works for a 25m radius and I am probably more
like 50m.
So if there is anyone close they might consider this device.
Other similar products are available.

The ideal would be for the owner to buy a collar

(may not work on all dogs at £2.99 a snip)
Anyway I'm ordering a whistle
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_toys_dog_training/dog_whistles_clickers/dog_whistles/254236
for my trip and because of the minimum order value I bringing some spares.
So 3 will be on special offer next week. Let me know if you want one.
If it's the apartment I am thinking of then I have seen the dog for sale on a facebook site. Might be a different dog/apartment though.
Paul, how much is a gun? More expensive but more permanent!!!!! ( it's a joke ). It's behind me so I will be interested to see if Paul can fix it.
Regards
John
My Parents stayed in block 8 when they were over and moaned about a barking dog nearby. I can hear it from block 3 every night. Maybe if enough people complain to AEA they might be able to do something.
Good news. The barking dog has either gone or its been well and truely gagged.
I've got my dog training whistle here but not yet had opportunity to try it out.
