A bit more clarification (Hi Keith, hope you are well!)
The problems they were talking about in the article were not necessarily to do with build quality (although it had been an issue) it was more to do with Palmera not being interested in taking any responsibility for problems once the houses had been "signed off" on the basis that they are just the selling agent and their responsibility ends at the point they are signed off. The other problem was that people had been using in-house solicitors who had basically accepted the houses on the purchaser´s behalf while they were still incomplete or with other problems which generally speaking buyers using this site seemed to have dealt with by using independent legal advice.
As a matter of interest we have had a good look round the village today at the various developments springing up. The "pink houses" seem to be on the most attractive site by far. The site itself is still closed off from either entrance so access is not very easy. As you say Keith, time is the main problem. Other than that most of the houses are now painted pink rather than rendered and there are some olive trees etc and wire fences are in place between the plots it does seem to be terribly slow still.
I tried taking some photos but have a flat camera battery but I'm sure someone else will oblige with updates.
