I will be completing my purchase next Tuesday and need to transfer money to my Banco Popular account from the Clydesdale Bank in the UK. Anyone give me some advice on how easy this can be done and the charges

Hi Welcome to Condado. We use currencyfair.com. Very easy to set up and use. We have used a few different providers in the past and found thar currencyfair has the best rates and a sameday transfer is 8eur. Hope this helps. David

We have always used HIFx, free service you fix your rate for the year but are able to redux once in the year if the rate changes. Always let us know when regular randsfers have been made by sending a text and can also use to transfer holiday spends to our Spanish Bank Account. Also use it to transfer key holding fees, etc.

We used "Currency Direct" www.currencydirect.com when we did the same last year for our purchase at Camposol. We got a good rate due to the large transfer into our La Caixa Bank at Camposol and it was very easy to do using on line Banking. You wont get the full rate that you see on Euronews ( The currency slot ) as they take off a few cents and thats how they make profit. Remeber you can only transfer up to £10,000 a day.

Hi . Regards Currency Direct what they quote is what you get transfered to your bank account with no charges. If they quote 1.23 to the £ thats what ends up in the bank . I believe you are saying its free with Voltex but same applies to CD
Voltex must be just the same as Currency Direct but THEY will get a better rate than you as they work in millions otherwise they would make any profit. Best way it to try both as the rates change by the hour and they wil give you a firm rate quote by phone
